I think I know what you are talking about. Here are two links to the archives. You probably want the older one as it is a longer post. (By the way, the search string I used was Home Economics because I remembered the reference to the home economics book.)

I'd suggest plugging in "radio" and search the Russian board Title: Re: Why not use the search engine? Post by: Ryan on January 28, 2002, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Why not use the search engine?, posted by Patrick on Jan 28, 2002

And just throw it in with our introduction letter? Don't you wonder what the response rate would be? I know what reaction my ex-wife would have given me. Actually if you read the original discussion thread many FSU women would agree with this document. It was interesting. Ya women from U.S.A. would freak on this stuff today. You couldn't imagine the cr@p I would have to take in my first marriage if I even suggested such things. She doesn't go to any effort to make her men happy. Hey, we should tell Claire we are going to Russia to meet nice traditional women like her (Claire). Bubba, Lena not only agreed with this thinking, but she practices it too. She made the observation that RM were quick to help her with her baggage but AM looked the other way. Even the airport personal that SHOULD be helping her. She didn't blame the men though, she blamed AW for screwing up a good thing for all women. If AW acted less like men, AM would treat them more like women. I used to be such a polite gentlemen but my ex-wife did not reciprocate with mannerly behavior. As you might expect, my behavior changed before very long. When I get married I am going to have to relearn behavior that was second nature before. A lot of marriages would work out by just showing some consideration.
