Title: other boards.......... Post by: micha1 on January 29, 2002, 05:00:00 AM Because it was mention from time to time, here, a board call Brama,
I decided to check it. Holala, do they know how to sling mud and sh!t, there. The language and the attacks of anyone who doesn't agree. The attack your family, ancestors and anyone, who does show up. Perhaps, here it is because of Patrick, that it foesn't go overboard. Title: Re: other boards.......... I disagree. I have always found the Brama board to be quite helpful. Now I haven't looked at it in some time, but when I was preparing my initial trip to the Ukraine it was extremely helpful and I did not observe the behavior you described. I agree with you about Patrick's efforts. Title: I think Brama is extremely helpful. Always "extremely helpful", I wish to find in every country a web site so good as Brama. Specially when you want to travel there. I know that some of the posters are self-interested for bussines when they write something, but the source for finding info is fantastic.Any kind of info: visa, travel, hotels, transport, where to go/what to see, restaurants, education, cars, police, ice cream, music, girls, places by night, even food recipes. And I'm talking about UPDATED info, not old info, the same you'll find in guidebooks. Try to ask something VERY difficult, you'll be surprised, sooner or later someone will answer your question. If you can find a better source of info about Russia compared with the UA info provided by Brama's posts, tell me, I'll be delighted to read it. I'm just a Brama Board user, and I'm sure that YOU CAN'T COMPARE BRAMA'S GOOD UPDATED UA INFO WITH INFO ABOUT UA IN OTHERS BOARDS, THIS PLANET-LOVE INCLUDED (even it's reading structure it's much better). Yes, it can occasionally get a little heated - but to be quite candid, most of the crap appearing there seemed to spill over from the trolls that found they couldn't post here. The theme of that board is considerably less of a lightning rod that the theme here as it explicitly discourages discussion of meeting with Ukrainian ladies - and the webmaster does an incredibly good job of clearing stuff off the board quickly. I guess I am just not at all sure what you saw that led you to make your comments. Then again, maybe I have just grown inured to it all --smile--. Having said all that - I have been, and remain - quite appreciative of Patrick for the work and diligence he displays here on this board in providing us a 'sandpit' to play in. - Dan |
