Title: Language links
Post by: BarryM on December 22, 2001, 05:00:00 AM
Here is some information on the Pimsleur Language lessons that I have been using to learn Russian language.
Below is the publisher's web site for the lessons:
http://www.simonsays.com/subs/index.cfm?areaid=128

You can purchase them new at:
http://www.amazon.com

However, I recommend you buy them at the auction site on Amazon. Search on "Pimsleur". You can find them much cheaper at Amazon auctions. Most of the time they're new.

Another auction site that is a good source for Pimsleur is eBay. Search on "Pimsleur":
http://www.ebay.com/

Auctionwatch searches all of the auction sites. Sometimes it misses some entries but it can be a good tool for finding items:

You can buy the lessons new at this store:
http://www.hannaandme.com/

The only source for Azerbaijani language courses is at:
http://www.azeri.org/
The Azeri online store sells the lessons.

I personally recommend using the Amazon auctions and eBay for purchasing language lessons. A patient and wise buyer can find the best prices on them. It's possible to obtain the Pimsleur Russian I Comprehensive course (30 lessons) in the CD format for $140 - $190. The tapes are even less. I purchased all of my Pimsleur language lessons this way. I was able to obtain all 3 of the Russian lessons at the best price over a period of 3 months by carefully watching the auctions. All of the lessons I purchased were new in the original unopened packages.

What about the links to the Napster clones that have all of the Pimsleur lessons that you can download for free?
