Title: What do you pay for an address? Post by: Ryan on December 17, 2001, 05:00:00 AM I was thinking here as I am using a few different agencies what is a typical charge for a woman’s snail mail address? For that mater what would you pay for her E-mail address?
What I have been doing is purchasing a woman’s snail Mail address. I send a letter telling her to E-mail me at my address. I suggest to her to go to an Internet café and open an E-mail account on yahoo or similar and we can start writing. I assure her that anyone at the café will help her if she has not used a computer before. As for the language barrier I use the Internet pages to translate my letters, yes I know it is not the best but it saves money. I again explain this to my friend that I am writing to. I have paid $10 to $20 dollars for woman’s snail mail address. What are you guys paying? Or do you all just pay that monthly fee to talk to unlimited women etc. I find the monthly fees a bit crazy. Should we start a club that would helps keep the prices at an expectable level? Or do we not have a voice at all? Your thoughts? Title: My thoughts... I saw the bundle of mail Richard got last April when we went to Kiev.... Must have been 3-4 inches thick with letters from women wanting to meet that guy. I highly recommend it, he went through Jack. My cousin goes to Ukrain 3 or 4 times a year and just uses a translater/ driver, then he rents an apartment and meeting girls are easy. In the begining he used services but after going there and waisting his money on services he quickly realized he met more interesting women by just going out with his translater/drinking partner/guide and meeting women as he saw them. He had his female translater go over to an attractive girl and explain he was an American and he thought she was a very attractive lady and would like for her to join them for a few drinks. He was very successful at meeting women this way! Having a female there as the translater made the attractive girl feel comfortable, plus the fact that they find us Americans to be a little exotic to them , and he seemed to have a lot of success this way, and swears to never waist his money on a service agency again. Good luck Mike Title: Re: Re: Were not in it for sport though.... n/t Post by: wsbill on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM Title: Re: Re: Re: Were not in it for sport though.... n/t Post by: Mike on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Re: Were not in it for sport though...., posted by wsbill on Dec 18, 2001
I understand that it sounds like he is just being a playboy but in his words he claims he will know when he meets the right one, and after going through an agency and bringing a girl here, and then one week later she wanted to go home, well he said it is just better to meet a women on your own and get a natural feel for them ???? The one he met through an agency had the impression America is made of streets of gold, also she felt so out of place not speaking English very well. Title: You both have great points.. I like your point of view and can see that happening as I have been to the Ukraine before. I can also see that it depends on the person and his personality. But you have a great point that no one should overlook. I also agree with the placing your own add in a newspaper method, I have heard this before and contemplated it. I just find it silly to spend $350 to make it happen. Placing an add in a newspaper should be cheaper than what Jack charges. Do you all agree or do you feel it was money well spent. I have to agree however that looking threw the agencies adds and writing to woman is getting old (They all say the same things) and expensive. Agencies are out in my book...... Thank you all for your help.. Title: Re: Where did you get that figure $350 Post by: wsbill on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to You both have great points.. Try $35 bucks or $50 tops. Title: From his web site... And E-mail from Jack... Post by: Ryan on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Where did you get that figure $350, posted by wsbill on Dec 18, 2001
From FIRSTDREAM: Prices vary depending on the number of words per ad. The average ad will consist of about 130 words. With photo, the ad will cost (with 3 runs, a months coverage) about $235. Of this expense, $23 goes to Western Union to send the funds to the FSU. I pay my employee's $20 to $25 to handle each ad. I make $10 to $15 per ad and the rest goes to the editor as his charges to me. {No, I am not getting rich today running ads} If your only talking $50 please tell me how that worked? I would certainly join into that. I would have done that but I was told a price of $350 a year ago I wish I still had my E-mail from Jack... Ryan Title: Take a look here. womenrussia dot com She does a ad service in Russia for $50. I've been considering trying it out. Title: I see one for $99 for Ukraine area Post by: Ryan on December 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Take a look here., posted by Zink on Dec 18, 2001
This is from womenrussia dot com Most letters will arrive via email, and some through regular mail. Even if a woman does not have access to the Internet to find your ad online, she can read your ad in a newspaper, and send her answer via email at Internet cafe. Some clients who preferred to only use email for correspondence, placed ads with only email address as contact details, and still had very good response. There will be 14-21 days delay (depending on the printing cycle of the newspaper), then the first responses will start to arrive. It will take about 4-5 weeks until you start receiving responses by mail. The letters will keep arriving for a while, and you are likely to get responses a year after the publication. Your ad will be placed on the top of the personals section. You will have 25 words or less to give your self-description, requirements to a prospective partner, your email and postal addresses. You think it's too little? Well, you won't be able to write poems, but with my 10 years experience with placing ads in Russian newspapers, I know for sure what to say and how. 25 words are enough. There is no facility to place photos along with the ads. Your ad will be published in 26 Ukrainian cities (Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sevastopol, Mykolayiv, Bila Tserkva, Chernigiv, Chercassy, Chernivtsy, Kirovohrad, Krimea, Kherson, Khmelnytsky, Kremenchuk, Lugansk, Lutsk, Pereyaslav-Khmelnitskiy, Poltava, Rovno, Sumy, Ternopil, Vinnitsa, Zhitomir) for only $99 Total circulation: 600 000. Ok everyone... The price most guys pay is $235 OR less! And this is an ad that runs for ONE MONTH! If you run the ad for one week or two weeks it is much cheaper. The ad that is typically run for one week cost about $60. My mistake, but I knew I could get to the real answer if I posted here. I still stand by the $350 number I got last year but it must have had other thinks included and I do not have the E-mail to prove it. If I would have known about the 1 week thing I would have been happier. I don't want to get on the bad side of anyone for my concern, questions or misunderstanding.
