Windshield,
I just got the dish network installed today and it's $25/month for 5 channels and you have to buy another dish and a switch (to switch from dish to dish). the installer said the switch is $169 he also is the one who said you get 5 channels for $25. A friend of mine has it and they like it alot, but maybe we'll get it after the holiday.
Regards!

You have to have 2 dishes to receive both the basic programming and the international channels. The international channels are on a different satellite that is to the East. NTV on Dish Network is only 2 channels, NTV International and NTV Plus. I hope there will be more channels in the future, but for now that's it.

Yes, you need 2 dishes.   the normal is pointed at a particular satelite.  The other dish gets pointed towards a diferent satelite.

Well you have to be the one decide that for yourself.  But what is it worth to have your lady be able to watch the current events (news) in her hometown, IN HER LANGUAGE, and also watch other shows in her language.  Semms like $25 is pretty cheap to me, to provide an outlet to back home...

....just my thoughts,
