Title: Moscow Interview Success Post by: JohnG on November 14, 2001, 05:00:00 AM Good news! I spoke to my fiancee this morning, and her interview at the Moscow embassy was successful. She had to wait outside 2 hours in the cold before going in, and she was another 2 hours once inside. She said she had a wonderful American woman giving the interview. There were only 2 or 3 questions asked. They asked her about Florida where she was going to live, and what my job was. She was only asked for one picture as proof of the relationship, although she had plenty with her. For my financial responsibility, they only asked for my employer's letter, although again she had anything else they could have ask for.
Now I am praying for a safe flight to New York. Thank you all for your continued support and good wishes! John Title: Excellent! Now,that all didn't take all that long did it?Even though it took some time that seemed like forever waiting, once she's here it will go by very fast and before you know it a year has past.I know you'll be busy once she arrives but don't forget to return back and post a story or two sometimes...It's been great reading a lot of your stuff... Best of luck... Title: Re: Moscow Interview Success Post by: Dalton Brooks on November 14, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Moscow Interview Success, posted by JohnG on Nov 14, 2001
Congrats John and my best wishes for you both. I hope I will be doing the same in a couple of months. John, which INS Service Center did you file with and how long from the time you filled until the Interview. thanks. Congratulations John. Absolutely great. John question. Does she have to go back at 4pm to pick up the visa? Thanks Title: Re: picking up visa Post by: JohnG on November 14, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Re: Moscow Interview Success, posted by Peter Ryan on Nov 14, 2001
Thanks, Peter. yes, she was instructed to return at 4pm to pick up the visa, so she was waiting until then to buy her plane tickets. I told her to go to the embassy tommorow with her invitation and try to get in!! Will they let her??? I know you are thinking she must be dumb to mess that up, well i am upset too but doo doo happens and i dont know what to do??? please offer advice. Scott Title: Try this one too... 7-095-728-5482 This is a direct line to a lady inside the embassy named Elena; ask for her. She speaks English and is sympathetic. Please don't pass this telephone number around, but call her, be honest, and plead your case. I really feel sorry for you guys. Ours is the 4th of Dec (after being postponed from the closing on Oct 18th.) I wish you the best. Keep us posted, ok? We're with you. ~Ralph Title: Pray! At 10pm tonight you must call 1-405-552-7300 and talk to the embassy. (Call earlier to get a pin number.) I don't know about their policy but if you talk to them nicely and ask them if they could squeeze her in at the next possible opportunity they might be accomodating. Surely with all the visas they process there must be at least one cancellation per week. She isn't the only one who makes mistakes. Peter Title: ?
