I wish the list a Merry Christmas, from Brazil. There is no snow, no cold, no ice here where I am. I do not miss it. I hope Hoda and other New Yorkers are hanging in there. [This message has been edited by WS244] A little history--President Grant established the Christmas holiday in 1870. President Grant also believed in separation of church and state, and was against churches being exempted from equal taxation. Anotherwords his thoughts were to exempt the property of any church organization, one then has basically imposed a tax on the whole community. One should pay at the same property tax rate as any business or corporation. Title: Excelente, y Feliz Navidad! (no text) Post by: Looking4Wife on December 21, 2005, 05:00:00 AM |
