Title: Miami Airport
Post by: Avispa on December 26, 2005, 05:00:00 AM
Just thought I'd throw this out to my friends on PL.
Is anyone familiar with Miami Airport and the surrounding area?
I need to find reasonably priced accomodation near the airport for a night and a place to store an auto for a month.
Thanks

Avispa,

There are a couple of lots around the airport that charge a maximum of $10 per day.  I am still trying to get the numbers for you.

I'll try to get those numbers tomorrow as I just got back into the US today.

You may also try a Google or Yahoo search for "long term parking Miami International Airport"

Thanks Steve, I've already located a place 7 miles from the airport that charges $70 a month.

If it helps and you are driving from the north, consider parking near a Tri-rail station and taking the train to the airport.  Parking will certainly be cheaper in Broward or Palm Beach counties than near the airport.

Sometimes rather than having a long day connecting from DC, I just stay in
the hotel in the airport, terminal E, I think. About $100, but decent lounge,
sushi in the lobby, gym and pool on the roof, and just roll out of bed to
espresso and your terminal.

Thanks Anzo.

I'm in a situation where I have to drive to Miami to catch the flight and store my auto for a month.
