Title: Latineuro.com / amigos.com -- worth it? Post by: NowImInterested on December 28, 2005, 05:00:00 AM Wondering what positive/negative/wasted time experiences you had or heard about either Latineuro.com or amigos.com.
In Latineuro.com, were the women listed for Columbia and Costa Rica really non-prostitutes (I mean the average woman on there that you encountered/heard about.) looking for marriage/boyfriend? The bio of each woman on Latineuro.com I saw as a first-time site browser failed to tell whether or not she had children. Does Latineuro reveal that level of detail about these women before you begin writing/emailing/phoning them? Thanks Title: yes, its' worth it Post by: jediknight on December 31, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Latineuro.com / amigos.com -- worth it?, posted by NowImInterested on Dec 28, 2005
do a search for amigos and you'll find a few of my posts. i met my fiance on amigos and she is everything that i've been looking for. before meeting her i went out with many colombianas here and in colombia, never had a bad experience. some didn't go further than the first date but all were very polite, no freak shows but i did screen carefully. the only thing is that not all of the profiles are legite, usually the ones with profiles written in all caps or with drop dead gorgeous magazine quality pictures. Soltero pans writing to chicks but it worked for me. I've been married for a little over two years to a woman I met through amigos. Last night we went to watch King Kong and we're holding hands during the movie as we always do and when I would look over at her and see her beautiful profile, damm, it was all I could do to keep on watching the movie. She was and is the woman of my dreams. So, yeah, listen to the experts here. Writing to chicks never works, blah, blah, blah..... Title: Worked for me too Cowboy... We wrote for over a year before we met and it couldn't have worked out better. And luck had very little to do with it. There is no one right way to do this. Whatever works for you is the right way. Married almost 6 years now and happier than a pig in shit :-) Ray Title: Re: Extremely positive - amigos.com Post by: soltero on December 29, 2005, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Extremely positive - amigos.com, posted by utopiacowboy on Dec 29, 2005
LOL....you need to post a disclaimer stating "It worked for me and I am pretty much the only guy who has found nothing but joy, happiness, and have nothing bad to say ever about my situation because it has been blessed by God and dipped in gold" blah, blah, blah (just throwing it back at you (smile).... I am very happy for you UC, and I sincerely mean that. I just hope that I can eventually find what you have because I truly haven't yet. Now either it was just your time, or whatever, but you have to admit that you are the only one preaching nothing but bliss here. EVERYBODY has some issues, even when they are happy. I only hope that I might be as fortunate as you one day. What you have may be great, but it is definitely not the norm by far. To make it appear so is misleading. I never said that "writing chicks never works", I said that you have to realize that if it does, you were just as lucky as winning the lottery... Yes, you've got that right. I do feel as though I won a lottery. I wouldn't trade my wife for any amount of dough. You won't know anything about the women on LatinEuro until you call them. If you notice, they all say generally the same thing and that is because the people at LatinEuro write the statements that you see from the women. The only thing I believe they screen for is attractiveness, and you would do best by staying within the first few pages. Most of their over 4000 women have been on the site for six years or more and may have moved on. It's a crap shoot pure and simple. If you purchase the letter that the woman actually wrote to join, you may find what she really wanted to say since she wrote it, but don't buy in too much to what they write on the site itself. I don't have much experience with amigos, and some here have that may better help you there, but I wouldn't waste time writing to people you haven't met. The guys that do ok there don't realize how lucky they are if they actually find anything worthwhile. Your best bet is to pick a country, pick an agency and go. You might like to do an archive search on LatinEuro or Latin Euro. No, he doesn't tell you anything about her, and he makes up at least part of most of the bios. He doesn't clean his list, either, even when presented with evidence that a particular lady is engaged/married/no longer interested. Click to the second Brazil page and you will see the text, "There are 8000+ girls on the site. Do not rely only on the first few pages of girls. All 8000+ are available to our knowledge. Girls in the middle and back of the site are just fine. Write them!" What horseshit. He relies on the clients' lack of knowledge of Portuguese and the ladies' lack of English skills and offshore location to perpetuate this fraud. Amigos will give you OK results, but as Jamie commented recently, your competition is higher so response rate is lower. |
