Title: Sending packages to Bogota Post by: wildbilman on September 19, 2005, 04:00:00 AM Happy Monday!
I need to send my girlfriend in Bogota a package with copies of our photos from my recent visit there. I have seen some discussion here about good and bad ways to mail things to Colombia. Anybody have advice on the current "best way" to send small packages? Thanks Much- Bill Title: Re: Sending packages to Bogota Post by: wildbilman on September 20, 2005, 04:00:00 AM ... in response to Sending packages to Bogota, posted by wildbilman on Sep 19, 2005

I sent a card and photos last week. 2 days from Denver (USPS)4 days from Miami to Barranquilla via Avianca: $15 delievered to her door. Fed Ex/UPS is pricy & DHL sucks... I recently sent a book that was NEVER received. I'm going to have to re buy it & I'm sending it DHL as I've used them before & they are quick & cheap in comparison to Fed Ex or even UPS. I would say DHL as I once had a to send a package of documents for my ex wifes interview. Well Fed Ex said it would take 7 days & be like $69. DHL said 3 days & I think $29 or $39. In either case I DID use DHL. They DID get the documents on time & even sent me an e mail to confirm delivery for me. I was VERY impressed with their service. |
