Well, to be honest my feelings changed the minute i saw her on my second visit. For starters, i did not find her as attractive the second go-around. Furthermore, she was chronically late. I am not talking about your typical Latina tardiness, we are talking showing up 1 or 2 hours tardy. The straw that broke the Papi's back was when she wanted to meet Ken and his date and I at the restaurant instead of my hotel – it was my birthday. She finally showed up after we finished eating and paid the check and sipping coffee. Next! The new girl by the way shows up on the money, never a minute late

Papi, I know the feeling of meeting someone for the 2nd visit and them not looking as attractive as the last time you were with them.

One girl in particular wore her hair differently (i.e. I liked it the other way), and had gained a little weight.  She was built like a brick house (she looked really HOT) the first time I met her, but I had tactfully indicated to her that she probably shouldn't add any more bricks.

I just emailed her the pictures we took from my last vist with her... she said SHE didn't like them, and then asked me if I liked them (how could I after the weight gain?).

Well, sounds like you've found someone more respectful of your time.  So that's a step in the right direction.

Look4, it is a plus in the right direction on the respectful thing regarding the new girl but i have 4 serious concerns:

1. She is VERY hot - could be a problem for a guy in his mid-40's if i wanted to bring her to the US

2. She is VERY young

3. Her Padre is distrustful

4. She has a kid

But on the flipside, there are some advantages to all but point 3

Thanks Zack, she is a doll but i have my concerns. I just got a very sweet email from her so i need to get to know her better. i just wish she was older for starters. But what a babe and a total blast

Dude why don't you check out a profile of one of the MEdellin guys & simply e mail them instead of jacket a thread man?! LOL!! Seriously everyone here is pretty helpful thought we always don't agree but e mail someone & I'm sure they'll help you or at least point you in the right direction man. It takes a little bit of elbow grease.

If you were making a well considered move, you'd already know the prices.  How much time have you spent there?  Have you even been there?  Do you speak Spanish?   Perhaps other forum members feel as I do.  You need more fundamental advice than what you're asking for.

Now I'd suggest starting a new thread and going over your story and decision making process regarding the move to Medellin.  You might find that you'll get more feedback that way.  And please, STOP USING ALL CAPS.  It's considered to be shouting in forums.

   Actually I missed you I just came home today... I had a crappy dial up in
Barranquilla so my internet was limited down there.  I was kinda thinking of
giving you a call but the last week I was alittle stressed out because I was
leaving again.  Maybe next time I am down there maybe we can hook up for

Utopia, my advice for him would be to spend time down there - make sure he likes it first. Get an Aparta-Suite in the Poblado or something for starters, meet some ladies and then have them help with the apt shopping. he is going to get a better deal out of the newspaper. Pablo might be able to help but again - all he needs is a girl to show him around. getting an apartment is a commitment and a hassle because for the lowest price he will need to furnish it with everything including kitchen appliances

I could ask my wife who would talk to her sister about what's up in Medellin concerning apartments but you're getting it third hand then and in Spanish. Better to just email Pablo and get the scoop from him in English. For a start where do you want to live in Medellin?

Yes, I could be game on the travel. I most likely will want to hit BQ again and maybe another city. Not sure on BOG but maybe if you twist my arm. Kind of thinking of Panama/BQ. By the way, the guy that sat next to me on the plane is an interesting character - has a place in Fla but is from BQ. And like you - is a latino and has been to UKE/FSU on a wife hunt. He also has run all around LA

He is from BAQ & he went to UKE?! WTF?! Boy is he going to be disappinted. Sorry PERHAPS the ladies ARE gorgeous. Most I went out with were more beautiful than the Colombians but man NO MATCH when it comes to affections & respect man. Sorry but that's MY experience. Did he say anything about the ukes?
