I was told that some guys,at about one year living in a country all of a sudden think,what they hell am I doing here?Thsat hasn't happened to mme after 19 months.But,sometimes I do ask myself,"is THIS my home?"I know its where I live but I don't see it as my permanent home although it doesn't look like I will be going anywhere else anytime soon.
I tell people if I had sufficient money I would live in Latin America 9 months and the western US 3 months.But not without being able to bring a latina along.
So,my compromise to myself is I will take a big US vacation every summer to check how I feel about the US vs Colombia.I am in the start of a 5 week vacation.
Actually I am tired right now and will just say planning a long driving trip and doing it are not the same.I love to just get in a car and go.But by myself?And driving most of every day?Not so hot right now.I need to slow down and spend soime time in one place.2400 miles so far.I flew in to Miami on the 1st,to Houston on the second.I picked up my 2001 BMW 525i I bought for $16,000.Great little car.I love it.It gets about 28-30 mpg.I hope to drive it 5 weeks and make $2000-$3000 on it.
I drove on to Dallas the 2nd.Dallas to Denver on the 3rd,950 miles with getting lost once.Missed a tornado by 20 miles.To Vail on the 4th.I stayed there untill the  6th.On to Denver the 6th.On to Sante Fe the 7th.To Flagstaff today.On to the grand canyon and then to my buddy Howards near Palm Springs tommorow.I am tired.Who's idea was this anyway?Oh yeah,mine.
Too tired for reflections right now.

After So. Cal,up to north Cal where I lived ,for 10 days or so,then Oregon,Washington,Idaho,back to No Cal,back to Cali.I was happy to get back to Cali last year.
So far its just driving and sight seeing.Seeing friends and  family more fun.
My girlfriend Beatriz was asking about Mujures.I have hardly talked to anybody who didn't work in a restaurant or hotel so far.Not to worry baby,no opportuities here and I will be happy to see you.
