Title: Help Post by: Taliman on November 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM Hi all back from PI, short trip.
Met a few other mag-anakers. More details and photos to follow. Need help though. Found out Embassy is requesting MY "true certified copy of my birth certificate" where and how do I obtain this? I have my original do i just get that "notorized" ? Please help. Also what is the best way to send the document to Cebu so it will not get lost? Thanks Taliman Title: Re: Help Post by: Ray on November 18, 2001, 05:00:00 AM ... in response to Help, posted by Taliman on Nov 18, 2001
They don’t want your original or a notarized copy. You need to get a certified copy from the state or county where you were born, usually the office of vital statistics. Check here for info: http://www.vitalchek.com/ You can send it by FedEx or LBC if you want it there safe & fast. I would order extras while you’re at it. Ray Title: That's where I got them... I used Vital Chek to obtain my certified birth certificate, as did a friend of mine. It took about a week (Michigan and New York) for our copies to arrive. I ordered 4 certified copies so I would have extra, in case I need one in the future. Dave H.
