Chris, I have been attempting to call. I thought we were going to be able to speak last night, but the phone lines must have been screwed up. Your problems may possibly be a case of the third world phone systems. "If a third world phone system can fail, it will fail, at the worst possible moment." You might consider writing a letter expressing the difficulties with the communications system, having it professionally translated by someone familiar with the expressions in Colombia so you say it in the best manner possible, and sending it by certified mail so you get a receipt.
