as a " newbee " to this board , I am not that to SA. 5 trips to Peru, 6 and counting to Brazil (Have a babe there waiting for her visa approval ) 9 trips to Costa Rica , 2 to Panama , 1 to Nic. and the rest to go old Colombia .. been going there since the late 80's . I could write a book about all the war stories I have had with all these agencies and Latin Women  but I just do not have the time ....... After reading these post for the last  year I can add 3 little pieces of info ...

1..... go there ...don't just talk about it
2..... learn some of there language ..either spanish or portuguese....
3.... Always  ALWAYS have plan A , Plan B , Plan C , Plan D , Plan E ....

So what was Cali like in the late 1980's? It was virtually unfished back then. I can only imagine.

it was Virgin soil ....about 2-3 agencies ...there was this beautiful park about 1 mile from  intercont. hotel ... You coulds just go and sit there for hours and count beautiful babes all day long ....... far cry from what it is now .

Not slamming you but I don't get it why so many guys on this board think that Cali is picked over. I was there for 2 weeks in December and my buddy who goes all the time told me "You won't hardly see any gringos there at all". You know what, he was right.  I saw maybe 25 total in Chippi Chappi and about ZERO in the rest of the city. For two weeks I hardly think that is a lot. Most of the ones I did see were older with hot gals. Not exactly picked over fishing ground in my book.

Mazu . if you have had been there 5-7 years ago , you would understand . Every agencie then was booked with gringos for months in advance . by the way did you meet a special lady for your self ?

I think maybe 2001 killed a lot of that. Have you not been since that time if you think it is still picked over (so to speak). I did meet somebody special but I was introduced through somebody (my buddy). I think that is the best way to meet women if somebody else knows the girl/family.

Even TLC wasn't around until 1992. Which agencies were in Cali in the late 1980's? Just curious. I didn't know that these agencies even existed in the 1980's.

tlc was developed when Bruce another guy James used another agencie out of Miami ... can't remember the name . But there was a main agencie in  Bogota that could help you meet ladies in Cali , that guy has died . Latin Best was more than likely one of the first . I was there in 1990 .

I was about 10 (1974) when I first visited Col. Not many gringos, that is for sure. My father would not let my mother out of the hotel. Could you imagine a boxum blonde blued-eyed southern belle down there.

Anyway, the old man would go down there on business and sometimes I would tag along. I started going down as an adult in the late 80's. One thing I can say is, in the 70's and early 80's it was much more violent.
