I forgot some stuff.

The friend wanted a man around age 35, no older than 40.

The suitor was 41 years old.  He had a full head of hair that was prematurely gray so he looked older than he actually was.  He was around 6' tall and weighed 275 to 285 pounds.  However, his fat was evenly distributed over his body.  He did not have large fat concentrations around his gut, on his shoulders, or on his hips and thighs. To me, he did not look grossly unappealing despite his large size.
