I would like to know if the Hotels in Barranquilla with a pool a la Royal or El Prado or Puerto del Sol charge you for inviting a girl to the pool. Also for bringing someone to the room
Gracias

I wouldn’t call it a hidden charge most hotels will charge based on how many guess are using the room. Prado does for sure I am not aware of the other two being as restrictive some hotels will overlook the policy. You can bring a guess to the pool without any surcharges.

jaime, I just checked with El Prado and they do charge you for bringing someone to the pool 15,000 pesos. What's that about $7 each time a girl comes to the pool?

If you don’t sign in for a towel they will generally leave you alone if you’re a guess with a friend. I’ve personally never had to pay when I stayed at the hotel. The enforcement seems to fluctuate but you are right about their policy. They are very alert to who goes into the rooms. Guess need to sign in to go into the rooms but they will not charge you unless they spend the night. I believe it is an extra 60.000 pesos for a girl to spend the night. Send me an email Jamie@latin-wife.com and I will see if I can get you a better rate if you are staying at Prado.

I would call them hidden charges because I have seen it where gringos get a surprise bill for bringing women to the room even for 1 or 2 hours. This is common throughout much of Latin America. it is a good idea to check upfront. Sometimes if you bitch hard enough the hotel will make an exception or if you are a frequent customer. It varies in BAQ by hotel but many have a "chica fee"

Well Yeahhhhhhhhhhh, if you bring a woman to your room after midnight even if it is for an hour, most of the time you will be charged!
