The girl cancels the date:

The date is broken:

b. She wouldn't touch Bennie with a ten foot pole, even if he had one?
c. Nelson dosn't want to be the bearer of bad tidings?
Always a glutton for punishment and unwilling to take no for an answer. Another date is requested and broken. Bennie is pissed.

Bennie hears that a french guy has spent a lot of money on the girl. This information comes from mudd. We don't know how much the french guy really spent or if he is pissed because she don't want his ten foot pole either.
