For anyone interested in reading the citations in support
of the recent discontinuance of the "temporary special visa"
for civil marriage in Colombia, here they are:

Good luck.

"hereafter no specific visa is required for marriage of a foreign citizen except a visa, valid and unexpired, of any category or class allowing entry into the country and properly issued by the Department of Administrative Security."

Is the form they give you at the airport customs your tourist visa?
And is this enough so you can get married in Colombia now?

Or what would one need?

Birth cerificate?  Divorce papers?  US drivers license photo ID?  Anything else?

U.S. citizens can now marry in Colombia under any
valid and unexpired visa, including the standard tourist
visa which is your entry stamp of typically 30 to 60 days
in your U.S. passport when processing through DAS
(Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad)
at any Colombian airport with arriving international flights.

Aside from the visa issue, civil marriage in Colombia requires that you
comply with all of the documentary requirements of the "notaria".

Here is an article presented as general information only
with regards to Colombian civil marriage.

BTW, people who choose to spend a few minutes reading
through my website tell me that they find a lot of useful
information gratis, which answers many questions.

Good luck. I must run.
