I know it may seem desperate to use "American Idol" as a source for an example of AW's madness, but the show is often pretty hilarious.
Any how, one of the female "Idol" wannabes (she's in her late 20's) offered a reminder of how important it is to consider looking abroad for a future wife. She hawked her wedding ring for $200 (rather than her karaoke machine) for travel expenses to the trials, and after she got booted from the contest this past week, she whined into the camera that she has nothing to live for--which should make her husband and child doubly proud. First the wedding ring, then "Through good times and bad..."
Surely, the only thing that kept her from divorcing her husband in pursuit of her "dream" is the fact that he is broke. The alimony wouldn't have covered one singing class. And he seemed as oblivious to her frivility as she was to her own brazen candor.
Yet, another wannabe (a youngster, with a set of obvious fake boobs) said she wanted to be the "American Idol" so that she could buy her mom some breast implants.
Yonder shores, mates!
