I have been thoroughly entertained by some of the personalities that surfaced in the past week or two. A bible quoting psycho(logist) that finds acceptable circumstances to batter a woman and two gunslingers/superheroes.  Wow, I'm impressed!
To the guys that are serious, stay focused on the mission and find value where it exists in these posts. For the most part you will have no problem identifying caca when it is written.
I have not laughed this hard in a long time.

Just speaking in general about the one guy that wanted a gun or a permit to buy and the other one commenting about taking the gun from the thief who shot and robbed the gringo at a soccer match. I think his comments were 'he better shot me in 1 sec or I'll kill him'. I can feel his passion and rage, but this taking the gun is pushing the boundary. Yes it is possible, but the odds are against you. Coming from a military family where my brothers (3)have served and my Dad giving his life, if one of us pull a weapon, trust me only Superman would be able to stop what came next. Obviously, Superman posted last week and I had to recognize his contribution.

I don't know who the gunslingers are but I  am amazed at our new christian talaban. I suppose they want the islamic "I divorce thee" rule as well. It is obvious to me that they are not capable of accepting a woman as having the same rights and intelligence as they enjoy, but expect that they should be the ultimate decision  maker in how life with them should progress.

I am usually irritated by those who perceive women as furniture ( marrying them without being able to communicate with them), But using the bible to justify tyranny in a relationship is beyond my belief. In  my limited education I have found persons who use violence to control the women in their life are basically insecure and have limited conversational skills. When such men are frustrated with rational thinking they strike out rather than admit they are wrong.

I am thinking of creating an agency in the mountains of Colombia where these guys can find caves to live in or possibly a brazilian branch in the jungle where the women are acostomed to this attitude. I am sure that any girl that has an education when told the truth about the beliefs of these men would disappear immediately. Of course these guys wouldn't lie, It is a sin right.  jimc

PS Talk about a benevolent dictatorship.

It's called "resource reallocation" or "administrative procurment".

No, please don't say that even jokingly!! :-)
There was a Neal from LWL a couple of years ago, there is a similarity in style and logic (or lack of) with this one. So it could be him.

This is not directly to you directly, but just a general statement.

Well if you worked in the mideast, you would find the middleclass women are treated no different than western middleclass women are treated here, and are happy. Their koran says the man is the final decision maker in the family, no different than the bible saying the man is the final decision decision maker in the family here.
the main difference being the men and women there, still observe the rules and teachings of their religion, whereas the only teachings we observe in this country, is political correctness.

Most of the men on this website (except for the few who go down there to bring back a trophy to show off) go to a foreign, colombian, etc. to find a woman with the same values women here had in our own country 50 years ago. The values that say the mean is the final decision maker of the family.

There are people who seem to want their cake and eat it too, and defending the equality of women to men in every facet in life. the same as you suggest, but like you, also seem not to practice what they preach.  If you really believed in what you are expounding, then why are not they, or in your case you, not married to the average american liberated woman of today, and have her in colombia with you now?  Or is it that you, or any other reasonable man, has the intelligence to know very well, an american man has an endless supply of colombian women at their disposal with no equality strings attached.

Most men in general tend to lose their rational thinking in trying to deal with any woman.  However, most men will also walk away first (except for the wusses or girlie men that need a woman to tell them what to do in life) rather than lowering themselves to the same emotional level of battle, (which is a woman's favorite weapon of choice).

Yes many men do become violent in these situations, because they are not emotionaly strong enough to walk away.  But then are they really any different in life, than a man whom brags about beating up every man whom while happening to be walking by, cracks a smile at their colombian trophy wife.
