Can those in Calombia give more information on the bombing FARC that happened today?  The newspaper says 14 soldiers were killed and 25 wounded when FARC bombed a military base in southern Colombia.  They said it was the deadliest attack in 2 years.

... in response to FARC Attack, posted by Brazilophile on Feb 1, 2005

This was on the news tonight.  Apparently homemade rockets made from propane tankswere used to attack the small base in Iscuande. Took place just before sunrise. It is in the Department de Narino on the Pacific and believe me there ain't nothing in that area.  so far 14 solders and a Lt. were killed.  These were not full-time solders but kinda paramilitary who get about three months training.  I guess the best discription would be peasent militia.  This is a big cocaine lab and distribution area and very wild and uninhabited.
