Expounding upon Heats theme of don't you wish you were here,I had probably the best steak I have ever eaten 2 blocks from my house here.
Chataubriand,400 grms, about 11 oz,25,000 pesos,$10.50.I get the big one now,the smaller one is 21,000 pesos for  250 grms. For 4,000 pesos, about $1.50 I get about 6 oz more great steak which I have with eggs for breakfast.I used to complain about the food here.I just hadn't found it yet.But I have yet to have a good pizza or Mexican food.
But of course, the desert,Calinas,is the reason to be here.Mine is watching TV right now while we are waiting for a gringo to show.Super girl. She is always up for whatever I want.Just wants to be with me.Well I guess she does get the good dinners too.And the good wine.Thats it for perks, other than me ,the main course.Or is that her?

The best resturant in Cali is in the Club Colombia country club. It has the most varied and among the most expensive menu in the city. For steaks the best place is Tizones in Santa Monica. They have huge wonderful Argentinian steaks. The place is frequented by mafiosos (Toyota Land Cruisers parked in front with blacked out windows). The mafiosos won't bother you but you never know if a hit man is after one of them you could get caught in the cross fire. There are many excellent resturants in Granada. Among my favorites is Granada y Faro. It is located in an old spanish colonial house. They have an exelent bar with great cocktails and a good wine menu. The presentation of the plates is like an expesive New York resturant.
