Thanks for your positvie comments on teachers which were generally positive.

If university professors tend to be liberal or conservative, it may be because education corelated more highly with liberalism or conservativism.

Very few college subjects, other than certain social sciences, even involve the teacher's political beliefs.  The overriding purpose of college is to teach young people to think and at my college I was exposed to all points of view and allowed to make my own decisions.

Pete,
It is sad how these so called "experts" and educators (who are almost all leftish types), can really confuse a lot of people; not the least of which is the students.  The mass media is right in there with them.  However, I think that Michael Moore is particularly loathsome!  Not only is he an idiot, but he at least has the decency to look the part!  Anybody that believes that clown has a screw loose!
Oh well, at least we get to solve the problems of the world on this message board, right?

Mengele, appropriately named the angle of death, escaped to Argentina using false identities supplied by the Red Cross.  The International Committee of the Red Cross has said it unwittingly provided travel papers to at least 10 top Nazis, including Adolf Eichmann, Klaus Barbie, Erich Priebke and Josef Mengele.

Despite international efforts to track him down, he was never apprehended and lived for 35 years hiding under various aliases. He lived in Paraguay and Brasil until his death in 1979. One afternoon, living in Brasil, he went for a swim. While in the ocean he suffered a massive stroke and began to drown. By the time he was dragged to shore, he was dead.

People didn't find out about Mengele's death until the mid 1980's when Nazi hunters, using newly discovered information, uncovered his grave marked "Wolfgang Gerhard" at Embu. It was then that his family admitted they had shielded him all those years and they turned over his diaries and letters to investigators.

But the possibility of a hoax kept the case open for several years. It was not until 1992, after coaxing DNA from a bone, and matching it to DNA in blood samples taken from Mengele's son and wife that the official conclusion is announced: "The remains are those of Josef Mengele".

The family sells farm equpment. I've seen them used in Greece.  Seeing that name on a large, sharp, powered device was a little disturbing.
