Has anybody received an approved adjustment of status & work permit lately?We submitted in mid-december 2004.The USCIS website is unclear
about time frames.Thanks.

If you filed at a local district office you should be able to see how far along they are with I-485s here: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp San Antonio is running about a 4 month wait which is where we filed my wife's I-485.

For a long time I lived on a ranch near Utopia, Texas (north of Uvalde) where I raised cattle. Coworkers and friends always referred to me as a cowboy, which I guess I was even though I had a normal job as well. When I had to pick a handle utopiacowboy seemed pretty obvious as well as descriptive.

It all depends on which local office you filed with. They are all different. Could be anywhere from a few months to two years or more.
