Okay so I have been looking that LE since everyone made the big deal about the 16 yo.  I really think that they are quality peeps so I am serious about using them if I deciede Cali over Medellin.  Guess it just depends on what girl I want to meet most!  To me it is the agency, the girls and then the city that sells me.  If an agency is garbage then no matter how perfect that girl might be for me I will not use them.  So has anyone used LE?  Can I get some feed back.  Please don't bring up the 16 YO as I don't care since I am not going there to meet her! What I want to know is things like how many of the girls are really available?  What is their ability to get you dates?  Things that are going to effect my ability to meet the people that I feel are quality and who I might want to be serious with.

Based on experienc with several agencies and loads of ancedotal posts over 5 years, I offer the following advise:

(1)  Don't fall in love with a picture on a web site.  The agency has no incentive to keep their pictures current, lots of man will want to contact the most impressive web pictures and she may be out of town the week you're there.  

(2)  Don't pay big bucks in advance because your options are then limited.

(3)  Establish verbal contact with the agency.  Ask their advise on how you can best benefit from their services. If the best they can do is "Send us a check for $1000" lose their number.  If they make wild promises, lose their number.  

Bud, from the old Latin Love told me that if someone is a loser in the US, he'll also be a loser in Colombia.  Anyone who makes wild promises is a liar.  

I would use opinions from this board as a great starting point but contact the agency or the owner, establish a personal relationship and you'll have a much better idea of who will best help you.  

If someone asks for lots of money up front, ask them how you will be protected if they don't live up to their promises.  You are the one with the money and it's a buyer's market.  The high priced agencies are just for uninformed gringos IMHO.

Lots of people on this board have used LE in the past. BUT, this new incarnation of LE is not LE. This is basically a new business as the heart and soul of LE is gone. And believe me, the day to day operation quality of a service oriented busines like an agency depends o nthe person running it. I personally have never used LE, but it's record and reputation speaks for itself. That is directly contributed to Margreth.
Now that she's gone and the new LE is barely open for business, no on on this board can speak with any type of assurance of the character of the new business. That's why this whole 16 year old business and the price of the place is popping up. People who have used LE in the past know that these were not the practices of the Old LE.
So, you aren't going to get a lot of info on what this new business can and can't do. Sure, they might have the database of women that the old LE had, but management is an entirely different issue. From what I understand, Margreth could get those girls to come in for thier appointments, not so sure about the new management. And believe me again, that is a major issue. |
Anyway, that's my opinion.

I have used Latin encounters quite a bit.Except for my experience with the secretatary that couldn't get me dates I have had pretty good success with them.I met my current girlfriend there plus the girl that was my Novia for 5 months.
The last time I used them Carolina got me citas with most of the girls picked.I probably could have met all of them but I would give her limited times I was available,meet a few girls then drop out for awhile,call her up and we would work on the list again.
Latin Encounters has the most girls of any Cali agency.It was right around 1000 when they updated the web site 3 months ago or so.I think the new owners are saying something like 1400.
I have not spent much time trying to look at the new site.Seems they want a fee to join just to view photos plus a $2995 fee to join if you want to use them.
In the competitive Cali agency scene,good luck on that approach.

I have one question to ask I think is important.. Do you have alot of money
you are bringing with you if you go to L.E? I say this because if they are charging
just to look at the woman's profile I think they will be raiding your piggy bank
with every charge they can think of.... I personally feel you might do better with
medellin,  less picked over.

Why is this agency so different than the others?  I looked at what they have to offer more closely and you guys are right.  For 2995 I should have JLo Salma Hayek and Shakira available to me.  This new guy strikes me as a moron.  I still believe that the idiots weed them selves out so perhaps by then this agency will be under a different owner. Thats too bad cause I wanted to meet a bunch of the girls from that agency.

A lot of people rag on the $3k price, which is certainly ridiculously high.  But this guy does not want 10 guys paying $300, he would rather find one idiot who will pay $3K.  You know they are out there; I am not sure though if enough to keep business afloat.

That is, assuming the agency is praise worthy.

For those that aren't, a few phony testimonials on their website reach a far greater audience than a handful of ex-clients spouting negative reviews in a forum such as this.

The ocean is vast, the lure is irrestible, but a lot of dumb fat tuna will keep hitting naked hooks.

Heck, are there even any people on this board who have shelled out such money to an agency and made it all the way through to a successful marriage in the States?

So are you saying that it is rare to get a Successful marriage from meeting a girl in Latin America?

I believe that it is very possible if the guy is not a moron and understands everything that the girl just gave up to be with him and not look at it as he is the "Visa Keeper" and she will do what he wants or she goes back to Colombia!

No, I don't think that's a good idea. She's out of the business and I don't think she's going to comment on the new business. She might with someone she knows, like Pete, but you have to respect the fact she out now.
And as was mentioned before, she was getting a little tired of the business. No, let her retire in peace.
