The same place,or house, now called Cali Vip is $100 a night, which was what latin love was charging when I stayed there 5 years ago.I thought it was worth it.

Bud charged you $100 in 1999???  He charged me $75 in 2001 and the last three nights I slept in the "presidential suite", Gilberto Rodriguez's old bedroom.

$100 a night is a good deal.  I would recommend Cali Vip if youm get room, two meals and agency for $100/day.

Bud dropped prices down in to the fifties I belive before he gave up on it.But it was $100 initially.I had the big suite 20 out of 21 days for that price.
I speculated before it might be Gilberto Rodriguez old house.I was wrong, that is a big estate with a high wall around it near the entrance to the Cuidad Jardine houses accross from the park.
One difference, everybody was raving about Latin Love when it opened.Hoda did a 12 part post.I did a series of posts myself on it at the time and alot of other people chimed in.We are hearing little about Cali Vip.

Bud also charged $100 for the presidential suite when I was there.  I paid $75 and got the presidential suite for the last three days of my stay but I hadn't paid that price.  It was open and I was the selected guest to receive these choice accomodations.

A man who helped us with the visa paperwork, an unnecessary expense, told me it was Gilberto Rodriguez's house.  I asked Francia, Bud's mother-in-law who ran the place, about it.  She acted like she didn't know who Gilberto Rodriguez was.  It may or may not have been his house but she definately knew who GR was.  I would judge from Francia's defensive reaction and pretending that she didn't know who he was, that I had hit the nail of the head.

Latin Love was definately the best bargain in terms of cost versus what you received.

I think Bud changed the agency scene in Cali by coming on with the $100 a day.I don't think it was irrelevant to Latin Connections demise although I a don't doubt there were other reasons. And Eds knocking Bud so much kind of reinforces that theory.
If its working for Cali Vip we really don't know,we hear almost nothing. We could speculate alot why it might not be,but maybe guys going there just don't post here.
Somebody pointed out what I was told was Rodriguez house to me.Its several acres I think. As nice as the Crystal Palace is guy making 5 billion a year had an even bigger place its seems. The real owners of the Crystal Palace I am told are sort of a mystery behind a woman who manages it,but at least at one time its pretty likely there was drug money involved. But then that was probably true for alot of the construction in Cali. They went through a real slump here in the mid 90's when the government forced alot of cartel people out or in hiding.

Pete,
If I might use that agency as a case in point and tie that into my earlier post to you.  I personally would love to stay at CaliVip; as far as the facilties.  But, I am also very curious about any updates you can give us about the owner and how it is being ran today?  I know that you met with the guy, but after the big blow up concerning the other guy who did his earlier website design, and what other's have said; I am hoping to get a better feel of what the "real deal is"?  Naturally, the pictures of the girls are hot, for  the most part.  The $100 a day would be good if I knew a little more about how their system works, and if it does work?  Of course, I realize that many guys are looking for many different things.  For myself, I am not wanting to go out with a 21 year old.  Looks yes, maturity, no.  25 and up is probably better, and since I am 51, probably 30 and up.  Unfortunately, the numbers start to shrink on that, if I am understanding the info and photos on the girls.  The same seems to be the same with ACG.
But, again, you guys that are down there a lot know more than I do.  So, I certainly want you opinion.

Well,
What we need is some guys to stay there and report to us.So far what we are getting is the house is great and they through good parties.I reported ones guys not so hot results in getting citas and Mike the owner does not think that represenative of what is going on there.I think it might be the best place to stay based on quality of accomodations. But we hear little. One guy called me,checked in,said he was going there.I told him to give us a report please.
Its a bit of a mystery.I am surprised we don't hear more.
And with a daily rate and I believe no minimum number of days there is not much of a downside to trying it.

(1)  Don't pay a lot to an agency.  Shop until you find an affordable one.  The best deals are bed-and breakfasts where they charge you per night and the agency come wiht.

(2)  Don't fall in love with women a=on a web page because they might not be available.  make sure the agency will work with you to help you meet lots of women.  that's all you can do.

(3)  You are the client and they will not care if you make a few of your own dates.  That's actually what happened to me when I went to Colombia.  I had met someone on line and she is now my ex-wife.

Sounds like your doing all the right things to assure yourself a great trip.
