Burbuja

Unless Batman has a house in Dallas, Texas I wasn't there last night.  Are you referring to the so-called BatMansion in Cali?  Or should we say, the ex-BatMansion?  I swear it wasn't me!

Were you there last night?  Did someone say they saw me there last night?  That will be news to my wife who was with me here at home all night last night.

Or maybe you're getting me confused with Zack.  I think he said he was going there for New Years.  It was probably a lot quieter than he anticipated.

Steve

PS: I wonder if the BatMobile is safe?

You are to be congratulated on your erudite not to mention well illustrated post on CaliGringo.  I'm thinking about moving over there.  You know, to a better neighborhood.  Upward mobility.  Pleasant Grove to Highland Park.

Highland Park Cafeteria has the best food in the world in my opinion.  Their chicken fried steak is supreme.  When I was married to my ex we lived in Plano for a year and went to Highland Park Cafeteria for Thanksgiving because my stepkids all wanted something besides turkey.  I can't say I enjoyed the food anywhere else in my life more, other than this place called the Svenden's House Smorgusboard back when I lived in Davenport, Iowa as a child.  I know it must seem like I must have never eaten anywhere else but Denny's if I think a cafeteria can have such great food, but I have lived and eaten all over the US and Highland Park Cafeteria is number one for good eats in my book.

Bad News, they bulldozed Highland Park Cafeteria a few years ago to make way for all the yuppie establishments that took over the Knox/Henderson area.  Even the one at Casa Linda was taken over by another outfit.  Anyways, the food was good, but I never understood paying $1.50 for three tablespoons of corn.

Yeah it was definitely pricey.  I was a poor man at the time with a wife and 3 kids and it definitely set me back when the bill came, but the food was wonderful.

How can there be an Oasis in a Sea?  Is that some kind of secret agent coded message?
