It's been a fairly common thread in most (not all) of your posts about relationships with latinas, that there is usually a hot temper to go along with the sweetness and affection that everyone loves.
So - how about it?  And - more interestingly, how do you respond when that temper hits - and what does your response accomplish??

Inquiring minds want to know!

It's very true very true very true!
All you can do is enjoy the sweetness and the passion and learn to become a more patient man.  Playing DodgeBall in School was probably the best Preparation I had!

And now for something completely different...

My latin bride has never flown off the handle... She doesn't have momentary lapses of reason, no emotional outbursts, no periods of pouting and reconciliation... She is very level headed and for the most part receptive to other peoples needs and points of view... She does get a little silly when she drinks, but who doesn't...

This is not that she never gets angry... When she does, she gets quiet and resolute... After the mood passes, she is back to her bubbly self in just a few minutes...

My AW ex was the champion drama queen of the universe... Come to think about it, most of the AW I have ever been involved with have been this way...

Generalizations never apply to a whole race or gender...

I used to argue back.  I would rarely get any on those occassions, however, so I tried to just sit and listen to it.  It can be character building.

What I found is that there is a line that gets crossed...if you try to reason/counter/argue with them over things, rationality flutters out the window.  It can be a pain, but I will take it any day over the other behaviors I experienced from women.

My AW ex would quote pop psychology...nothing worse than that...and the eastern europeans would get morose then go collude with their friends while getting plastered.

There is something hypnotic about the latin female for me, and the semi-hysterical-nonsense-temper is part of it.

My wife hit me in the face one time in an arguement.

Does that tell you anything?

Look at all the spanish sopa operas. Women hitting men, men hitting woman. It is a part of Latin Culture i really despise. But i love the other parts though.

The latina can get on the phone and rattle away at momma or friends.I didn't understand what was said but I think it was a comdemnation of my behaviour and an excuse and denial of hers.

With mine I've learned that it's best to stop buying after she's had 2 drinks.  Seriously.

*Makes note to not invite Steve to his next Everclear and Mead party.* *At least not without a camera system present*

2?  Your serious? Is she like really tiny or a low "buzz" tolerance? 2?  What size drinks? Normal little ones or like 5ths or the giant "lighthouse" style drinks?

"I've learned " if its not too painfull how long did that take? Example: After several nights out you decided that 2 was a nice safe number or The one time she had her third it was OMFG!! time.

There is a woman in town 6" 0", blonde, Knockout, sweetest thing while sober, gets drinking and starts picking fights with the local guys. Funny as hell to watch when my humor hits "dark mode". Considering the local "men" she starts in on I consider it poetic justice.

2 is her limit.  I've seen her physically ill after 3.

She's small and she's not a heavy drinker.  I prefer her that way.  But when she gets to 2 the jealousy factor doubles and a lot of times she gets so angry she doesn't want to go home with me.

"I've seen her physically ill after 3."  Yep seen that, your buzz is the toxic level your resistance cant handle for some buzzed and stomach pump/purge are real close together.
Good things about being buzzed/drunk puts the "political watchdog" part of ones brain to sleep and is an anodyne. Bad parts see previous.

Alcohol and brain cells don't mix real well.

C++?

My advice: Take it easy on the EverClear.

"Alcohol and brain cells don't mix real well"  Understatement they do not mix at all LOL
A stranger at the local Shell station just reminded me of another bad one for other people, never been a problem for me. He woke up, broke, in jail and his wife is real PO'ed with him, he has no idea what he did for the last 72 hours or so. LOL "Film at Eleven"

Official school designation is C++ and VB but I am using Visual Studio Net 2003,  GPA 4.0, Everclear and Mead I make it (Mead), did not say I DRANK it LOL. I was 19 in the Army and realized I was burning an entire paycheck in one night on booze alone. Did not touch it at all for years after that. I drink once in a blue moon and only once heavily since 19.

My major is software design. That may change, not sure I want to do that for anyone else. Found it rather ironic that my learning disabilities actually help me understand PC's. Was not sure how I would feel about it, took a ton of Eng etc. before they let me get into a coding class last year(2003).

Steve,
For me it was  best to not have a serious discussion after I had 2 drinks. My tolerance for BS and dishonesty goes way down and I found myself yelling at her, which is totally counterproductive because not only is she pissed for a lifetime but the subject gets changed from whatever it was to "you yelled at me." Which can be a convenient method of again avoiding the truth.
But my wife did really prefered to avoid confrontation, and I would usually get angry first, then she could really get in to it herself. She would tell me "I hate you right now."
And the look in those flashing dark  eyes convinced me it was true.
I don't ever remember getting in to an argument when she had too much to drink, which was very rare. But I bet it could have added to the hostility if it happened.

My wife hated yelling and confrotation but loved to watch these stupid spanish novellas where it seemed that was mostly what was going on.The Latin comedy shows, like Betty Le Fea can be good but the seriuos dramatic ones were full of the worst examples of human behavior.Like our soap operas but more yelling and violence.
