Well, after giving it a lot of thought, I have decided to go to Cali on December 28th to welcome the new year. I will be spending the first few days at the Cali Feria. Has anyone been to this before? There have been a few small posts about it recently. I hear that it is a five-day long annual party in Cali that starts on Christmas day and ends on the 31st. Women from all over Colombia come to attend this event. I hear that it is a great place to meet ladies if you know Spanish or have a translator with you. I will be going with a group of guys and Batman will be one of our translators and Cali mentors. I will also be attending the New Years Eve party at the Batmansion but I won't be staying there. I will be staying at a nearby hotel.
O.K., I know what some of you are thinking: "Why would you choose Batman as your mentor if you are searching for a wife?"
Well, I have talked to Batman by phone for several weeks now and he seems like a down to earth and honest guy. Thus far he has followed through on his promises. He entered this forum and was banned because he didn't know the rules. Yes, he knows some bad ladies, as do all agency owners (if you can call him that), but he also knows a lot of gems who would make great wives. He does not run an escort service, in my opinion. I have always wanted to meet non-agency ladies in Cali and I think this is a great way to do so. I am already corresponding with a few. I'm not saying that agencies are a bad way to meet ladies. I just know that there are A LOT of ladies in Cali who want to marry an American man but don't want to join an agency because of the stigma involved. This is the same reason some of us are hesitant to go to Colombia.
If I am dissappointed, I could always go to Latin Encounters. Either way, this forum needs an honest, unbiased trip report about Batman and the Batmansion New Years Eve Party. I will do just that when I return. If I have time I will give a day-by-day trip report when I'm there.
