Computer up and running

The computer is working this morning.I haven't tried to open my E-mail yet,that seems to take along time to load and it wouldn't do it last night,or open up planet love but today I can at least get here.
These cali phone lines and internet service can make a 2.6 pentium 4 act like and old pre pentium computer.Margareth called me last night.
She was talking to Frank S and maybe saw my post here also.I'm going over to see her today.Might be fun to start meeting some chicas.
There are lots of apartments in the Sunday paper today.My helper Diana is under the weather because of her braces.We will work on it tommorow.But I need to call or get somebody to call about these places and make sure its something I am even interested in before we go over.Lots of stuff we looked at was a waste of time and could have been avoided by asking the right questions.But we have had little to look at untill todasy.There are maybe 10  new interesting places in the paper today.

Good to hear you're safe and sound in Cali.  IMHO, bypass the newspaper search and/or realtors.  Go to the agency, when you hook up with a gal that seems compatible (what maybe a whole day?), then go apartment hunting.  Grab a taxi, set a price for a couple of hours - and drive.  When you've encountered a good area and apartments to your liking, just walk up to the security gates and ask if there is anything for sale or rent(that's where the gal comes in - much cheaper if there is no gringo factor initially).  Wish I was there!

The cost for running an ad to rent an apartment every week is prohibitive. As a result most simply place a sign in the window. I agree with hound. I found my condo in Cartegena and my original apartment in El Ingenio that way. I would recommend having an interperter or a bilingual lady of good class travel with you around a neighborhood that you like. Remember first impressions count and often it is not about the money with Apartments. It is very easy to ask the security guard if there is any thing available in a building. He will know. You may have a problem getting a lease from some owners, especially those represented by real estate agents. The usual requirement is to have a co-signer and sometimes two. If you think Cuidad Jardin is too far south, I would check out El Penon around the Inter Continental, lots of good restaurants you can walk to and a five minute ride to 6th ave. You can even walk to Dukes a great bar accross the river. I almost rented an apt in the high rise between the Inter and the Don. Great view and location. Look around the neighborhood. Accross from the park is a real estate agency that had some good listings. There is an art show in the park every Sunday and a couple of bistros where you can have coffee in the morning.  Leaving for Cartagena in the morning see you soon JIM C

She would probably only jump to that conclusion if Pete kept asking her how she likes the place. Otherwise if she comes to that conclusion, she must think she is god's gift to men.

She might come to the conclusion we are looking for a place for us,as in me and her.Or maybe she would just be thinking if I play it right this place is in my future.Hmm,you could not promise anything but just let her assume.Might get you some action,or might get you a girl you can't shake who knows where you live.
Actually I have it covered with a couple of Colombianas to help me.But lots of good tips from you guys here.Going to try some realtors tommorow also.
