Does anybody know if Cali has zip codes like here?

The post below states there are but I haven't seen it yet. Because there are duplicate addresses in Cali it's important to state the barrio below the street address ie. B/Granada.

Yes. I think they just started it. About a month ago I was sending a giro and lo and behold, after her address, the computer printed some numbers that it never had before. I asked the clerk 'What are those numbers?' and she replied 'Zona Postal'...then went on to say that the computer figured out the right 'zona postal' from the addresses.

I haven't had to send anything recently, but a zip code in Cali?  Are you sure that the code wasn't a general county code?  I did notice the fairly recent FedEx shop near the airport - maybe they have something to do with it.  Next thing you know all streets will have signs (LOL).

I just know what the clerk told me. It's only 3 digits, so it doesn't seem likely it covers the whole country. Maybe it's similar to the old US (before zip code) system where only the large cities were zoned. Remember when we used to have addresses like:

1004 5th Ave
New York, 10, New York
