I'm afraid there are a few of you guys  who lack the huevos to really find and keep a Latin woman. Read some of the claptrap you have written here. The incessant bickering about what "he said" or "didn't say", what "he did" or "didn't do". You sound like a bunch of school girls.

You guys are an embarrassment to the real men of America.

Sorry I have to be the one to point this out to you. I think you know who you are.

Maybe y'all should get back to the intended purpose of this board and stop using it as a substitute for real human contact.

You hit the nail right on the head buddy. There is a lot of passive agressiveness on this board and a lot of easily offended egos. Not exactly the confident, take charge attitude that latin women prefer.

Of course you have to be really careful not to cross the line into arrogance, high class chicks in Cali hate that.

If I get back to work I won't be able to spend as much time entertaining you.  I've got a job interview tomorrow.  Who knows?  Even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while.

Steve

PS:  Is the Post Office hiring?

That's a good one! You know I like to tell the women in Cali that I work for the Post Office. Sometimes I get a little bit of blank stare.  You know, Colombianos that work for the post office can't afford a trip to Pananama.
I had a girl ask me once how I could afford 3 trips to Colombia a year.
At least I know that they aren't after my money :-)
Some other guys will never be sure. Also I have been informed that I'm not all that handsome so I don't have to worry about shallow women being interested in me either.
The way I look at it I'm destined to find true love ;-)

No matter how broke an AM insist he is ,people living in foreign countries think the opposite because you are an American. Especially if you travel a few times a year. They assume you are downplaying your wealth in order not to be taken advantage of.
Most foreigners do not understand about credit cards and such. They just think all Americans have lots of money to throw around.
I know a few foreign families living in the U.S. who are literally living paycheck to paycheck. But are always the ones that people from back home call when they need financial help because everyone assumes they are now rich.
In most foreign countries, you own your home, car. Trips and all luxuries are usually paid in cash. But in the U.S. you can be broke , but still manage to look as though you are doing well .
I think many women come to the U.S. expecting the guy to have downplayed his wealth ,but the suprise is on them when he was actually telling the truth.

I am not one of those guys that goes down to Colombia with a photos album. Personally I think it is a mistake to show them pictures of a nice house and car when it is your first date. Those things shouldn't be brought up until the two of you are in a more serious relationship and she really needs to know what your life style is before you bring her here.

After the two of you are really serious. You should try to decribe your life style in as much detail as possible. What kind of a house, the area, things to do in your area, how much you vaction and where. With my first caleņa wife I thought I had it all covered. But, I forgot to tell her how many hours a week I worked. At the time I was working between 52 and 60 hours a week and I had been doing it so long that I didn't even think about it. Well, about two months after she got here I basicly had to cut it down to 40 hours a week. She actually accused me of having another women on the side. She just didn't believe people worked like that.

Also just about the worst thing you can do is give them a yearly salary figure because they will think you are much better off than you reall are. Without you going into great detail about how much more everything costs in the USA, they are going to get the wrong picture.
