I have seen adds on internet sites from doctors that go in the belly button and then under the pectoral musceles. I have also read that the tunneling from the belly button to the breast can leave permanent V marks and there is also a high risk of infection

Wow. Sounds like a difficult and long procedure. They probably need to cut thru the pec muscles to do the deep approach, which would make recovery more difficult. It would leave the breasts scar-free, but it wouldn't be my first choice if I were the lady.

Through the belly button?  Is that true, or is this a joke.  How can you get implants into the breast with an incision the size of a belly button.  And even if the incision is larger, it's a long way from the navel to the breast.  What am I missing here?

A friend of mine AW had breast augement surgery a few years ago. The results were not too great. She wants them redone, but does not think well of many doctors in the U.S.  I hear there are  great doctors in Colombia who do excellent work. Does anyone have any reccomendations of who is considered the best in that field? I will pass the information along to her.
     Thank you,

Hello Elcolombiano,

This is unsolicited advice but are you sure you want to send money to your novia for cosmetic surgery?  I recommend that you not send any money, especially for breast augmentation and lipo.  Regardless of the pros and cons of a woman who wants and receives this type of operation you got burnt before by another novia "gold digger who only stayed 38 days" with you visiting on a tourist visa.  I would let your new relationship develop and later after marriage if you both feel the same way, she can have this operation on a return visit to Cali.

EC,

You might be impatient to get this surgery done for your lady but how would you define it if the relationship fizzles later.  Boob benefactor?

Don't you be the boob and send the money.  Patience is a virtue, premature teta operations are not.  There is always time for this operation after the wedding on a return trip to Cali.

Make it a post wedding gift if you both still want to have it done at a later time.  BTW, when is the big day?

1. Orthodontal work
2. Breast surgery
3. Driving lesons
4. Visa expenses
5. Airfare
6. English lesons

It is very expensive to bring these ladies hear. I can't do it half heartedly. Its a risk I have to take. I think of it as an investment. I have lost a lot more in the stock market. If you are married a while and she divorces you these expenses are nothing!

I take it all back. If you want to get your soon to be wife some cosmetic surgery, then by all means you should do it. God know it will cost you a lot more in the states.. Have fun!

And consider potential future implications - for example if bambinos may be in the future the augmentation is a BAD idea.

Forget the health implications. That should have nothing to do with your decision. And DONT use that as an excuse for not sending the money. She will see right through that. Be straight with her. It is a little too early to be sending for surgery, you want to wait till your married.

I paid about $2 K to have my ex's breasts enlarged in Colombia.  Results were spectacular to look at (but she had a nice set before she started).  However, she didn't like me to touch them much because of discomfort.  That discomfort lasted for the next year until she left.  They were done over the muscle through incisions around the areola.

My wife wants a set now, but I'm mostly concerned about how they hold up over the years.  When I posted this question before the feedback makes me think that this is a repeating expense.  In other words, about every 5 years you have to trade them in for a new model.  Does this sound like planned obsolesence so the doctors can get more business?
