Back from Cali.... Trip report long

Hello Gentleman  I am now back from Cali.  I originally was going to post the following as a day-by-day journal but I was not able to post in Cali.  I’m a first time writer and I hope you will be kind….

Hello Gentlemen.  I’m currently in Cali and I thought I would give a current update on my adventure.  I’m getting a late start as its Wednesday and I have been here since last Thursday.  I will try to recall all of the significant events up to date.  As posted in an earlier post I’m new to the board and used much of the information located within for preparation.  I also traveled to Cali with one other person who has been here before so my fears were probably less then normal.  
On Thursday night we arrived at the airport.  My friend had his girlfriend meet us.  Fortunately she brought a friend who was a very attractive 26 year old.  Twenty minutes here and I was already feeling very happy.  We took a taxi to the Cora Apart-Suites.  This is a very nice hotel.  I got an apartment which included a full kitchen, dining and living room and separate bedroom.  All for 37 dollars a night.  The hotel is 2 blocks from Avenida Sexta and about four minutes from All Colombian Girls and Latin Encounters.  Anyway back to the story.  After unpacking we take the girls to a very nice restaurant five minutes away.  The food was very good and we splurged.  We had a bottle of wine and the women had shrimp etc.  Even with splurging the bill including tip was less then a hundred dollars.  And believe me we splurged.  Unfortunately, it was during this dinner that I realized this beautiful woman sitting next to me wasn’t going to be the one.  During our conversation I discovered that she lived three years in Switzerland and was slightly on the spoiled side.  She told me that she owed 32 pairs of shoes to match all her outfits and she needed to travel at least 3-4 times a years, while staying at home and not working.  Can you say high maintenance.  I was slightly bummed because she was very attractive and had a high-energy warm personality but when you take a woman out for the first time and she orders one of the most expensive meals on the menu (lobster) it doesn’t really leave room from growth.  Anyway, after diner we head back to the hotel hang out for a bit then send the ladies home.  Tomorrow, All Colombian Girls and other things.

The day was Friday and my friend and I had already decided that we were going to go to Latin Encounters and check out their operation.  Unfortunately, upon our arrival and after talking to one of the employees we discovered that they were not going to be open until Monday.  Apparently they had a big wedding to prepare for and they were not open over the weekend.  What to do.  We decide to go to All Colombia Girls which is literally right around the corner.  Now let me give you a heads up.  About a month ago I paid for a profile at All Colombia Girls.  For 80 dollars you get your profile at the agency and they give you four addresses.  I thought this would be a good deal because I hoping a few women would write me before I arrived.  Naturally I did not receive one email.  I also emailed four women with the addresses given me.  Only one emailed me back.  A very beautiful 19 year old.  Now I’m 36 and though I was flattered to exchange emails and a couple phone calls with her I really had no desire (remember I said had) to see or start a relationship with a 19 year old.  Back to A.C.G.  My friend and I arrive and the first thing I want to see is the book of men’s profiles.  I look in the book and don’t find my profile.  Ok   I ask the girl where’s my profile and she tells me that it’s in the computer.  She then pulls it up.  I ask the girl why the profile isn’t in the profile book.  She says that new profiles are in the computer and they show those profiles to the girls when they come in.  I’m not sure if I believed her but Oh well.  What can you do.  Anyway, we sit down and start looking and thirty books of women.  Can you say my goodness.  It’s almost overwhelming as you look at woman after woman trying to decide whom you might want to meet.  Hoping that their personality is as nice as there looks.  I would have to say that approximately 20%-30% of the women I felt were attractive.  I know I have a high standard when it comes to looks, I think that comes from living in LA but I’m working on it.  My friend gives 3-4 names to secretary who says she will have a date there at 6 o’clock.  Though there are a few women I’m attracted to I decided no to make an appointment.  We talk to Ricardo who tells my friend for 100.00 he can make dates for the next three days.  My friend agrees but smartly decided not to pay up front.  We go back top our hotel and while he gets ready I decide to call the 19 year old who I will call from now on Lori.  I call Lori because I promised her I would and because she seemed like a very pleasant person.  I tell her to meet me at ACG because that’s where her profile is anyway.  We return to ACG at 6 and guess what they have no dates for my friend.  Now he’s kind of pissed but he’s glad he didn’t pay up front.  He decides to call his girl from the night before, they hook up and its all good.  I meet Lori and oh my goodness.  Not only is she beautiful but she has a very pleasant personality. We hang out for a couple hours eat dinner  make plans for the following day and then she goes home.

I don’t have much to say about day 3.  I spend the whole day with Lori and I’m actually starting to like her a little too much.  She did take me to ChipiChapi, which is a very nice mall.  And as stated earlier, the women there all like to wear clothes that show their stomachs and show off their breast.  Not a bad combination.  I also found the food at mall to be outstanding.  If you like steak there is one place I will give the name later because I have forgotten…. that cooks the most tender steaks.  For about 4 dollars I got a steak about ¾ inch thick, 5 inches wide and 10 inches long that you could cut with a fork.  It also came with salad, backed potato and friend sweet banana….  Not bad

Sunday was another light day. Hung out with my friend and his girl.  He’s really got it bad and believes that she may be the one.  I have to admit she very nice and has a charming personality…  tomorrow Latin Encounters.

Monday…. my friend left in the morning so I’m flying solo.  I go to Latin Encounters and meet Alcira.  She’s a terrific lady.  I spoke with her about Latin Encounters, Cali, women everything, she’s full of information.  I tell her what I looking for and about 2 hours later I have a list of five women.  Alicira tells me to call her back later in the day and she will have my schedule for the next day.  I’m thinking yea right but we will see.  I call her later in the day and she has my schedule.  I have a date 12, 3:30, 5:30 and 6:30.  can you say holly molly.  Not bad.  

Tuesday I have my dates.  I wont go into details but I found all the women to attractive elegant, proper and fun to be around.  I made friends with all of them.  It was a wonderful thing.

Wednesday was another chill day.  I spent most of the time with Lori after she got off work.  Did I mention she was an aerobics instructor.  Yep  I’m in trouble.  It should be noted that I have been eating a lot at Crepes and Waffles.  I like the food there and I’m going to probably gain 10 pounds from their desserts.  Tomorrow I’m going out with Walter Mora.  I don’t remember the name of his site but he offers two services.  You can go to his site and order addresses or he will take you out on personal tour of the city.  He says he will take you to colleges, malls etc and just meet the average the girl.  I talked to him today and we have plans to go out tomorrow.  This will include visiting a model show and other things.  Walter was recommended to me by my friend so I will see if he comes through.

Of the agencies in Cali, who has got the most stunners? Who has got the most young and attractive party girls?

I am not asking which agency has the most marriage potential women, I am asking which agency is home to the fun ones that make your heart skip a step. It seemed from your post that All Colombian Girls took a more laid back philosopy than Latin Encounters. Does that mean their girls are less marriage oriented? What has been the experience of the board on this matter? I am sure this question has been discussed before on general terms, but I am talking about one thing here: availability of stunners. Which agencies has more beautiful women available?

It really does come down to "availability" of beautiful women, not just the number of gorgeous women you see on an agency's website. You might assume that the agency with the most beautiful women, would be the logical choice for you, but I'd disagree. I think that at LE you have a greater probability of going out with any one of the girls you see on their website, than you would at ACG or LatinBest. Oftentimes, at ACG or LatinBest they were "unavailable" for whatever reason.

I think that the most important variable comes down to the professionalism of the staff at any given agency. At LE you have Margaret, Alcira and other intelligent, dependable and professional staff working for you; whereas, at ACG you have Yveth and Mary, two very young and inexperienced women doing the best they can with the limited resources and minimal managerial support that they receive from Ricardo. I also found the staff at Latin Internet to be professional and competent, but I find the location very inconvenient.

I find it funny when anyone mentions Ricardo's connections with the model agency. Of course there are models coming in and out of ACG and some of the models sign up for ACG. However, I found his models to be no more beautiful or desirable than the general Calena. I like Ricardo and ACG, but his "models" are a dime a dozen in Cali.  

Really, all you need is one beautiful woman. There are so many variables that come into play in how you go about seeking her out. I now believe that I have as good a chance as any, in finding a "stunner" in Armenia, Buga or Bucaramanga, than I do in Cali. Enjoy the journey, for your success is guaranteed in Colombia.

Thanks for your thoughts. Of the secretaries at ACG which one is Mary? I know Yveth, but Mary?

Perhaps Mary hasn't been at ACG that long. I know she has worked for Ricardo at least since May to mid-September. She is beautiful, petite, and I'd guess about 19 years old. It may be that she splits her time between the modeling agency/magazine and ACG. She might help Yveth when it gets busy. Anyways, nice and sweet person.

Actually I think Marie is 21 or 22.........she does work full time in the agency with Iveth.  You're correct, she is very sweet and sincere.........and very cute!!

Ricardo, who owns ACG, also owns a modeling agency.  He has models coming by the agency from time to time.  One night he invited me and another gringo to go out to dinner with him and some models.  If you make friends with Ricardo (who also speaks some English) and you let him know that you're looking for the hotest babes, he may do the same for you.

I found ACG to have on average, the youngest & thus the most attractive women, slightly more than LE & LB. However, the latter 2 agencies seem to have more mature, 2nd-date-able ladies.

I would say that both agencies had plenty of beautiful women to meet.  As far as partying I guess that is up to the person once you meet them.  All of the women I met were interested in going out with me later in the evening so I guess that would be a good sign..... As far as the laid backness of ACG.  I feel that if you spend the money to travel to a country and pay for a memberhip or other arrangement then they need to come through as promised.  ACG did not.  I'm sure many would say they did not have enough time to make arrangements.  Then they should have told my friend that they would call and have meetings arranged for the next day.  They told him he would meet somebody at 6 and they did not come through.  Time and money is expensive.... At least is is to me.  When I was at LE  they told me I could meet somebody that night.  I have no doubt that I could have but I decided to wait till the next day..  Just  my 2 cents

I found that when Ricardo was on premesis the work got done ie. dates got made and the chicas showed. However when he's away attending to his other interests his empleadas se aprovechen. My wife's 18 year old niece wants to sign up with an agency and I will take her to ACG.

I have to respectfully disagree with your accessment of ACG.  I've been there (no pun intended) twice this year, my initial visit in June, and last month.  I have found Iveth to be very competent and mature. She worked hard to get me dates the very same day I showed up, and I was never stood up on a date.  All of the women that I selected were available, were prompt, and were very happy to meet me.
In regards to ald07, he must understand that these women can't drop everything they are doing to come to the agency to meet him at a moments notice.  Maybe Iveth thought there was a good possibility he could meet a girl that night, but if a girl can't make it, it is hardly Iveth's fault.  The fact that LE had girls available that very night was probably just the luck of the draw more than one agency being more competent than the other.
I do think it's not just to judge Iveth & Marie as incompetent and immature.  I have found them to be just the opposite.  The times I've been at the agency, I would hardly ever see Ricardo, but I did see Iveth & Marie working hard to get me (and other gringos) dates.
Again, I post this with utmost respect, and it comes from my personal experience.

I'd like to just clarify that I respect and appreciate everything that Iveth & Marie do at ACG. However, I just think that they don't have the infrastructure, technological support, resources and managerial savy of LE. There is "scarcity" in many respects at ACG and it influences my assessment of the agency, perhaps more than it should.

I think in accessing agencies, everything is subjective.  The same goes with any customer/business realtionship.  Some people just love Home Depot.......yes they have everything under the sun, but their customer service is horrible.  I'd rather go to ACE hardware and pay higher prices.  Things are easier to find and they have better customer service........or even better Lowe's.  But then again, Home Depot has done well over the years........there are strengths and weaknesses to all agencies.  I've never felt that Margareth at LE was a good option for me.  I've never trusted her, but others swear by her and her agency, and she has brought many couples together. Why have I had success at ACG and not LE???  Sometimes that's just the way business is..............I think a gringo just needs to experience some of the agencies, find one that can help him, then stick with it.  Most of the time it will take multiple trips to find the right person. (actually I recommend this).  Develop a relationship with an agency, let them get to know you, and you them, and you will more than likely find someone special.

Finally someone has drawn an anaolgy between large scale hardware chains and Cali marriage agencies. And the comparison would be it takes several trips to find the right screw?

actually it was an attempt to show why some business (albiet good ones) fail to garner 100% customer satisfaction.  It defintely went over your head.
