You must possess some qualities that will transfer from American to Colombian.
1. Sincerety.
2. Honesty.
3. Loyalty.
4. Provide shelter, comfort and security.
5. Smile.
6. Dance (or at least be willing to try).
7. Be open-minded about helping her family.
8. Give her some space and allow her to have Spanish-speaking friends.
9. Don't smother her with your 'true love'. They get the picture.
10. Don't make her feel you can't trust her or you have to account for every minute of her time or whereabouts.
There are no guarantees to happiness. If it works, great, if not, there are more out there. I keep a thought in the back of my mind that eventually she will grow tired of my old, fat self. If that day comes all I can say is it was fun while it lasted. So far it's lasted almost 4 years.
