Things to do and see in Medellin

I plan to go to Medellin in late November with my Calena.

Can you recomend a good hotel and a list of things to see and do.

I also like fine dinning. What are some good restaurants.

I stayed at the Hotel Dann Carlton Medellin for about $50 a day.  It’s an excellent hotel.

The Hotel is in the Poblado barrio which is one of the nicest areas of Medellin and is a 5 minute cab ride from the Zona Rosa.

If  you go to Medellin  go to the following:

1) Botero Museum

2) Interactive Science Museum (Museo interactivo)

3) ride on the subway, but ask in advance the safe areas to go, because the subway goes in some dangerous barios

4)  There are several nice shopping malls.  El Tesero Parque Comercial is on a hill overlooking Medellin and has this big tower.  I believe this was the Mall which as bombed several years ago.  

5) Zona Rosa in the Poblado district

The airport is a long distance from Medellin and took over an hour.
