Calipro you really hit the nail on the head!
When you mentioned, they have children or are over 35.  I would like to add if they are not attractive.  I would say 99% fall into one or more of these three catagories.

Wouldn't you rather have a woman who prefers not to leave her country and family - but decides to to do so anyway in order to be with you, instead of one who is bound and determined to leave the conditions of her home country whatever it takes - even if it means marrying a gringo that she plans on leaving?

One of the ironies I have learned is that the best women are those who are most committed to their families and friends, and who are probably going to be the most reluctant to leave and the most homesick if they do leave.

The whole idea of a "bigger pool" of women that have decided to marry a gringo, is a double edged sword. I prefer a woman that decides to marry ME, rather than decides to marry a gringo and I happen to fill that bill at the time.

Many times the initial excitement of "landing a gringo" wears off.

I live in Cali over Brasil because I speak Spanish not Portuguese. And Cali over Costa Rica because I have work to do in Cali, but none in Costa Rica. It's as simple as that. Believe me I am not complaining, Cali is a great place to be - just not as much freedom as Costa Rica. But not as many annoying tourists either.

I have never been to Colombia, but I have been to Brasil and you have a point. The hot babes are
not really interested in leaving Brasil.  Most of the women would rather you move to Brasil and
also as a black man I can say that the women love African-Americans and are totally fascinated with
African-Amercan culture....

Oh really? Do tell. I am not black, but am from NY and have had some experiences with women (girls actually) who want to know about the whole rap thing etc in Costa Rica. It was cool, because we had something in common as I am a big fan.

In Colombia, they really dont give a damn about american music, especially hip hop. Which is actually kind of refreshing because you get to learn about totally different styles of music.

Really, I was very surprised how much a lot of the girls I met love Hip Hop.  They wanted to know the latest dance movements, clothing, etc..
