You know, about the superstitous stuf. Yep, yep, yep, and yep. Take cold medicine outside when you have a cold, because all the cold germs are in the house. Don't iron clothes then wash dishes, you'll get arthritis. Don't stand in front of the fridge because you'll get arthritis. Don't drink cold water because you'll get throat cancer. And in some circles, since Cali ususally doens't get cold but when it does, it's because the dead are walking the street. I'm sure there are a few more, but these people are to the point of being unreasonably superstitous at times. It's funny, I have read about these two incidents that happened over the last few days. The one at the supposed record store at Chipichape and the one at Latin Encounters and I was at both locations the same day. The Chipichape one at the sametime having lunch and about an hour or so after the guys supposedly started tried to get in the first time.First Chipichape. I was having lunch with a friend at the chinese food place. Nothing going on. Didin't see anything. Second Latin Encounters. The power went out on me yesterday so I went over to use the TeleCom accross the street from Latin Encounters. After that, I went to go shoot the breeze with Alcira for awhile while whatever the Hell happened to the block's power was being fixed. (Three days in a row this happened. Sigh!) Now nothing was mentioned to me nor was there any reason too, it just seemed like everything was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. Now this mornin, I hada phone interview so I went to TeleCom again at 9:00 am to use the phone and was on it for 30 minutes. After I got done, I thought about going over to talk with Alcira again, but decided against and instead go home and cook some breakfast. Make a long story short. I didn't see any cops there. Same guy sitting in front of the house selling his gum and smokes, but nothing out of the ordinary, that I saw. Now, as far as the timetable goes, I left about 10 minutes before the email writer showed up, so MAYBE the cops showed up within that 10 minutes when I left and the other guy showed up and I haven't talked to Alcira today, so I can't get confirm anything or give you a first hand report. Now, writing all that, I have gotten emails from names who I know with a Yahoo! email address. Of course, the emails didn't come from my friends because they would write me with their personal email account like they have done for the last 4 years. Both emails content was just ridiculous stuff, like they turned my address, phone number, and name to the FARC. Yeah, ok, why not use my current address and phone number and not one from two years ago? You know why? Because at one time I knew these a**holes and for some reason they have a grudge against me and all they remember is an old address and phone number. What they don't realize is that it's against the law to try and aid terrorists to cause harm or any type of danger against Americans in foreign countries especially countries that have known terrorists like Colombia. Suppose trying to give inofrmation to the FARC on how and where to abduct an American kinda falls into that category. Anyways, those emails and explanation from me were forwarded to the Dept. of Homeland security. So, PERHAPS this phantom email that was received about the supposed break-in and robbery maybe from the same person. Just a thought. C-YA. Gotta watch the ballgame.
