Looks like our Marlins went into Yankee Stadium last night and beat the pinstripes like a rented mule.            Marlins 3 Yankees 2....read em and weep!  :-)))

Hey T....

Looks like the "rented mule" packs one helluva kick...huh? BTW, what happened to all those "Marlin fans", when "Mo" came in to pitch in the 8th inning? ;-)

The Twins won the first game, look what happened?

The Red Sox won the first game, look what happened?

Oh ye, of so little faith. One game makes a series champion, NOT!!! The fish got off the hook this time (I know you were holding your breath, the last couple of innings...lol). He won't be so fortunate in the future...

A pox upon thee...lol. I see you're already forecasting the Yankees being up 3 to 1. When! Not "if" this scenario happens, just repeat your above post...heheh. BTW, early indicators are showing that Yankee fans will occupy atleast a third of your Stadium. So much for the home field advantage....

Now you are getting the point on why this rivalry is much different from the legends of old. There are so many frigging NY'ers here in S.Florida that the entertainment is the reaction of the fans in the stands. I was at the Heat game when Alan Houston hit the winning shot, the NY fan reaction was louder and more obnoxious than anything I ever heard. This happened in Miami!
Marlins in 6! I still stand by my prediction. (If we can get a little more tilt on the earth's axis, this will happen for sure). ;-)

Howard,
Welcome back Buddy, our most famous FORMER poster! Good to hear from you. Most of these guys don't even know who you are now.I wish the archives went back to 9-12/99.Your posts were something else, fun, exciting, encouraging. The agencies ought to pay you to post again. But I know you have totaly shifted gears to your new life.
About baseball,to me its that time of year you find out who is playing even if you didn't want to know.
My theory: Some sports like baseball and bowling are more fun to play than watch.Other sports like football and Boxing are more fun to watch than play.
Buy hey,if your excited about your team great.I hope they do well.If I just happen to be watching I will root for them because you will be happy if they win.

Pete

Hey Pete,

You keep ya head up, ya hear?!!! As you seen for yourself Pete. Things have changed since 99, in regards to the agency scene. You can't turn back the hands of time....

Any-who, you follow through with your plan. You've put out more than most, in regards to trying to make things work. Good choice in rooting for my Bronx Boys....

Hmmm....Marlin fish cakes anyone?

Care for a small wager? Marlins in 6! For those that aren't aware, there is nothing nothing that stirs passionate emotions better than a Florida vs NY game in any sport.
It doesn't get much better than this!

But, I feel you'll be hard pressed to find a rivalry more intense than the Yankee-Red Sox. Even the Dodger-Giant wars started here in NYC. The fish, won't have any "curse" to protect them in Yankee stadium. Looks like the Yankee's will be partying on the beach this year.

Richard...lol.

Loosing the series in NYC?!!!! NEVER!!! I see, that you're already got your bags packed for a return trip to NYC. Yankees in six? I think that's fair. Gotta get in some commercials to pay for the our victory parade up the "Valley of Hero's"...downtown NYC, a hop away from ground zero.
