This might be of interest. It's an article and a table showing the population, median age and median househould income of major Latino immigrant groups. As long as you're making over $39K and married to a Colombian, you can say "Honey, we're doing fine." For a Peruvian, you better be making $42K.

As with any Census numbers, very few illegal aliens get counted. They probably have lower household incomes as well.
