Taxis in Cali

Any suggestions about what taxis to avoid or those that are safe in Cali. Are there any names of taxi companies that can be recommended?
Also at night is it safe to be walking along avenue sexto with or without a woman or do you still have to be very cautious.

I never have had a problem with any taxi drivers in Cali. I almost got in a fist fight with a taxi driver in Bogota. Seems he thought I slammed the door of his taxi to hard. Too Bad!

About walking down avenida sexta at night, I don't think the women will be much protection. So it doesn't really matter if you are with one or without.

I have walked along avenida sexta at all hours of the night and never had a problem. But, I'm me and your you so I can't say what might happen. Do you look like a victim?
I even walked along avenida sexta at night with a $500 digital camera clipped to my belt. I saw a couple of guys eyeing it up. But, no takers. I don't recommend that you try that though.
