This was in response to a post below about a 4 br 4 ba condo next to Chipi Chapi.I want to rent a VERY nice minimum 3 br condo in a good area with security and a pool.I have some contacts there who can help me,but wanted imput here, particularly the best location. The price range I am thinking is $500 -$800 a month.Thats supposed to get something very nice in the local market, right?

I want to rent in the local market, then rent rooms or sublet the place when I'm not there.I'm looking for Colombian prices.
A friend of mine stayed in a high rise right next to Chipi chapi, brick looking place It was nice. But he paid gringo prices for short term,$75 a day. What you are talking about I think would rent in the local market for $600-$700 a month. My friend had a nice place in  Cuidad Jardine,3br 3ba 2000 sq ft or so for $500 a month.I like Ciudad Jardine but everybody says its so far from the activities in the north.I never did any of the activities in the north before.
I went to avenida Sexta once, but didn't really check it all out.
As for air conditioing,I never felt I needed it there, but I've only been there December to February. My in laws house doesn't have it but we could just open a window,it was not that hot at night. But,other people say you need it,and with this type of a place I wouldn't want any defects.
