The only guy that I ever met that had something really negative to say to my face about it was a taxi driver that another american had hired as an interpreter because he spoke english. The guy had lived in chicago and I it must have been a bad experiance because he seemed resentful and I don't think he thought much of americans to begin with. I can't remember the whole story but he went to the U.S. with his wife and childern and after they were there she left him. He probably lost her to an american that had no problem marrying her eventhough she had another guys kids.
On the other extreme there was a guard (with a shotgun) at one of the entrances of chipichape that would stare at my wife every time we would walk into the mall. One day we walked by him and I was staring right in his eyes and he didn't even notice me because he was to busy staring at my wife's tits and after we walked past him I looked back and he was checking out her ass so I reached down and grabbed it hard. She even jumped a little and asked my what was up.
The next time I saw the guy a was by myself. He tried to stop me and shake my hand and wanted to know where I met her. I told him don't worry about it and kept walking.
A mexican guy would have shot me in the back the day I grabbed her ass in front of him. I am sure. I took my first caleņa wife to mexico on vaction once and I got more action from mexicanos saying crap in four days than I would get in four years in Colombia. Hell, come to think of it, I have gotten more comments from latinos here in the states than in Colombia.
