I need low-fares originating from Brasil

Most of the Internet sites I have found for destinations TO the US, and originating FROM Brasil are very high in price... almost 2 times the amount of the opposite!!!  I have checked a couple of local places here too in Sao Paulo.  Any one have some contacts for low fares ORIGINATING from Sao Paulo, Brasil???  Thanks in advance!!! Cheryl airfares Colombia to US and return are also several hundred dollars higher than US Colombia. My last trips I've gotten the best price by calling American Airlines (in Cali)and buying an e-ticket over the phone.

I think what the problem might be is taxes... When I went to Peru 4 years
ago I got a pretty good fare but when I wanted to buy a fare that started
in Peru to here it cost a arm and leg. The person who sold me the fare
told me it was taxes from Peru.
