It does look like there are 3 of us that will be in Lima around thanksgiving. Anyone else want in?

I know I cant wait. I just talked to my girl.
If any of you guys are not using Yahoo messneger or something like it then you should try it. The voice part is just as good as the phone lines (not very good) but it is free. I think my girl pays like $1 per hour there in Lima for the internet.

I also just found out that her cousin in engaged to a 55 year old gringo from Oregon. That dude has it going on! He is going to spend a month or so down there. I wish I could do that.

I am seeing someone I meet in Peru also!  I am going there during
Christmas/New Years for 2 1/2 weeks (my third trip to Peru since July).

How does the yahoo messenger voice thing work?  Can it work on a Mac?

Hi

Yahoo messenge is just like ICQ, ,or MSN messenger. I am sure it would work on a mac. I bought a web cam so she can she me. You can just type back and forth or use the voice or cam. THe place that she goes in Lima there are a lot of people using Yahoo Messenget because I can hear it in the back ground.

You guys will have a good time. A few things you can do while your in Lima are...go to Larco Mar Mall, which is a little shopping mall overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Brisas Del Titicaca ..a tourist place which showcases the different dances of Peru ..you can drink and eat there, and turns into a dance club after the show,...San Antonio Bakery a great place to eat, awesome pastries and sandwiches.....of course the indian markets with all their stuff, go the the one in San Miguel, its cheaper ...the one near Mira Flores is little more expensive ..more tourist is why......casinos .there are several....Barranco, is nice and is close by...you can go the beach of course...if its warm,not sure if is warm enough yet, but they are in their spring time there......there are more things, but might give you something different to check out ...

.......anyone still looking should check out the MatchingSYS website. Things appear to be shaping up nicely there, although alot of their girls are scattered in many different cities, making it more difficult to meet I suppose.

a lot of the girls will travel to meet you if you pay the way for them. i have been talking to a girl in pucallpa and she wants to meet in lima. the price from her city to lima is cheap, so not much money lost if it doesnt work out.

Larco Mar is one of my favorite places in Miraflores!  It's a nice modern
mall and it overlooks the ocean which makes it nice to go to with a date.  
They have a couple good dance clubs (discos) and you can also go
bowling there.  I like the chicken also at Pardo's chicken there..  Plust
they have Tony Roma's..   and the big Peruvian "Mc Donald's" fast food
place which they call Bembo's.       It also has a decent movie theater
there as well, and 2-3 nice coffee places.   Cafe Cafe is very popular
(there are 2 in Miraflores and one is at Larco Mar)..  kinda like the
Starbucks of Peru since people always like to hang out there.

I wish we could go again soon, but I dont see us going back to Peru for about a year...Pily might, but I think we are going to have her mom come here instead of us going there..next year..her sister should be in Chicago by then....I know you and C will have a good trip!
