Go to Sex Ratio, The World Fact Book on your search engine! Very interesting. In the USA in the age group from 15-64 there are 1.0 male/female, in Colombia it's .95male/female(Thanks be to God!), In Mexicao .95male/female, in Brazil .98male/female(sorry Brazil lovers), Peru 1.01 males/females, Ecuador .98 males/females. Argentina 1.0 male/female, Cosra Rica 1.02 male/female, Panama 1.03 male/female, Russia .94males/female, and lastly Ukraine .92 male/female. Sounds like the former USSR area is a good hunting ground too. However, down south, Mexico and Colombia numbers are very good!

The statistics don't even start to tell the story. The real question is how many women will be available to you?
There are maybe 6000 women on the books of the Cali agencies. At any one time there are probably no more than 30 gringos there looking.Thats 200 to one. Most of the girls will never get to meet a gringo.
Statistics are useless here.Thats not the story.

Thanks, Zorrowins! Very Interesting information. This is the kind of post that I will print and save.

By the way, I went to buy that book you recommended but it wasn't in stock. I had it ordered and it will be here next week.

You'll find it very helpful and informative in several ways.It helps explain "them" and their neurotic behavior, it strengthens your resolve-never again, it helps to identify the next one you run into, and probably most important of all it helps at least identify issues that those of us who are attracted to N's have-such as esteem issues, the fact that perhaps your parent was somewhat narcissistic, so the behavior seems normal to us.Fear of abandoment issues going back to childhood, so it appears even a bad relationship is better than none. This unresonable fear generally goes back to childhood and is more of an issue that needs to be delt with at that level. But we often transferr it to our latest love interest which is NOT where it belongs. Enough of my rambling-Enjoy the book.

My father was a narcissist and my brother is married to one. My family tends to be attracted to those kind. I think the main reason is because they are not only very good-looking, but also witty, funny, and charismatic. We tend to like those characteristics. It probably goes deeper than that, as you were saying. Thank God I was the only one who never married one.

Book or no book, I will never marry a narcissist. I would rather be single for the rest of my life.

I instintively know I was/and am to a certain extent certain that's something wrong with me mentally when I kept going back. She was literally like an addiction to me. I knew for the last 2 years of the relationship it would never work out, that if I ever lived with her I would be absolutely miserable. My head was constantly battling my heart. I would often be deeply offended by her and hide my feelings. Then I would go do an intense workout and rant and rave about her to anyone who would listen. When I occasionally lost my temper with her, she then would never want to see me. After 2-4 weeks I always was accepted back. Like the heroin addict I was always chasing the high. The first 6 months with her were as close to heaven on earth as I have EVER had! I kept thinking that was the real her and we as a couple could recapture that. That is chasing the dragon! Right now she's a 15 minute drive away- Enough time has past I could be in her arms and bed tonight. The next 30 or so days would be great. Then of course the devaluing would start finally ending in disdain. I know! If only I had no feelings for her I could be in for some great sex. Unfortunately or probably very fortunately for me I can't have a relationship that intense without equally intense feelings! So I stay the hell away-as hell awaits me if I ever go back! Enough of the ravings of a lunatic! Colombia awits me!

... in response to Sex ratios in various countries, posted by Zorrowins on Oct 11, 2003

Hi everybody, how's it going?  Fine as frogs?  We hope so.  We checked the source of this posting, which is the CIA, yeah, that CIA, the same one which bombed the Chinese Embassy by mistake, which can't find the bad guys, which is a bunch of idiots, in my opinion, and which we pay through the nose for their ca-ca.  If you believe one word of what they say, you are going to believe that whales speak French at the bottom of the ocean.

On the other hand, there are not enough men in Brazil.  Don't take my word for it, either.  Go to:

http://www.ibge.gov.br/

Brazil is really two countries, the north and the south.  The north is an agricultural economy, with a lot of black people who were originally captured in Africa and brought over by the Portuguese.  To make a comparison, the USA "imported" about a half a million black people from Africa.  Brazil brought in more than three and a half million.  The south of Brazil is an industrial economy, where all the factories are, the big container ships come in, and the south is where the poor men go to get a good job.  They leave their home on the farm in the north.  That means many places in the north have few available men.

We get a lot of complaints from the girls in Brazil that there are not enough men.  Especially from Amazonas, you guys who want to avoid competition should check out Manaus.  We have a military friend who flies into Manaus often, and he tells us that it's hard to walk down the street or sit in a bar.  The girls come for him.  But you can't believe the gossip from the frontiers, and should take that scuttlebutt with a grain of salt.

Thanks

Big B

PS  As I am new to this great list, and the format, sometimes I miss postings, sorry if I missed a posting that you posted and did not respond.  I am doing my best.

I've been told by Brasilians that Manaus is stiflingly hot and you will be glad to leave.  But I also hear about the beautys that come from there on other lists.

Perhaps I haven't read every post here or I'm not privy to some posts elsewhere, but bigbdm4 seems to be willing to provide advice for Brasil - and has not engaged in "troll" activities as of yet that I'm aware of.  Should we not welcome his participation?

Yes, Big B has given a lot of good advice about Brazil.
But in some of his posts, he seems to be trying to piss people off and start a fight.

Read his post from 10/8/03 Re: need to know the truth.
Then read all the responses to that.

Then read his post from 10/8/03 titled "It's his MO"
and the following thread.

Big B said that he will modify his posts. I welcome his participation as long as does just that.

Big B,

As a former member of the cloak and dagger crowd, I must say  I take offense to your statements, especially when you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about when you discuss the alleged shortcomings of CIA. Most of the "idiots" you mentioned have advanced degrees and are dedicated to protecting the United States and devote their lives to this task. The intelligence community has never claimed to be omniscient.

Please, stick to areas in which you have some firsthand knowledge, like Brazil.

TROLLS!!  Big B seems to be trying to start a fight in some of his posts. He will defend himself by saying "I'm just speaking my mind, and the truth shall set you free!"     Whatever

Big B, you are trying to speak your mind in an arrogant manner but most of your attacks are wrong which REALLY makes you look like a dork in the end.

For example:

1. Saying that the CIA are a bunch of idiots

2. In regards to HODA, you said "I think I remember this guy from LWL, wasn't he 86'ed for being a louse, a loser, and a lier..."

3. On a different post, you said "Only fat pigs and crabs, losers, liars, louses, mosquitoes who eat and run, and ugly walruses need to engage an agency, Oh, and bargain basement bride shoppers."

Is it just me, or is this guy going out of his way just to piss people off and start a fight?
All of these statements are NOT true, and you say "The truth shall set you free!" Whatever!

PLEASE keep babbling Big B, because patrick will soon ban you.

I amended my posting!

It's full figured pigs.  OK?

Thanks for following my delights.

Big B

PS  Thanks for calling me a troll, why did you capitolize?  Just because I live under a bridge and eat losers is no reason to make me bigger than your sorry life.

Big B, I can tell you Patrick who runs this message board will not give you any warning about your behavior but will just ban you and you will no longer be able to be part of the give and take on this board.  I predict that if you do not adopt a more courteous attitude very quickly you will be banned.  I give you less than two weeks with your current behavior.
