He was 49 she 36. She met him at the airport and everything worked out. He met her relatives and they are now married. Although, he DID NOT stay at her house during the first encounter.
I think the "one woman trip" can be quite productive.
On the other hand I talked to another gringo that emailed a girl. She wanted him to stay at her house. She met him at the airport. She was over 50 lbs. heavier than her photo.
Needless to say he didn't go home with her. I think you did everything right except the "going home with her" part.
