for a spur of the moment 5 night stay at the occasionally
maligned Sexy Safari. They really need a new name. I've been
to Cali a bunch of times, but this'll be my 1st to BAQ. This is
one of their group tour weekends, and having been to several
TLC circuses, pretty much know what to expect. Any hidden
gems of restaurants or other out of the way places? I'll post a
review next week of the whole affair.

A nice place to take a date for the day is out to the Pradomar Hotel about fourty minutes out of B/quilla and before Puerto Colombia. You can have lunch on the beach at the hotel and spend the day swimming. The waves are popular with local surfers but watch it, the current is strong in places.

I will be off to Barranquilla September 13th. I have been there numerous times, but I have never been to Sexy Safari.

I think you will like Barranquilla. The women in Cali are more sexy, in my opinion, but there are plenty of sexy, educated, nice ladies in BQ. The weather is hot, like Cali, and the ladies are also scantily dressed.

Regarding the restaurants in Barranquilla, "Nena Lela" is an Italian restaurant with excellent food, nice atmosphere, but the service is slow. There's another restaurant called "Rodizio" which serves over 20 different kinds of meat. The food is great, and the meat is served rapidly, but for some reason, they are slow with the drinks and deserts. If you want the most romantic restaurant in town, in my opinion, go to the Plaza Hotel. They have a restaurant on the top that overlooks Barrabquilla. It is on the 40th (?) floor, and has great food.

That name seems appropriate judging from their website and advertising agenda.  I like their webpage "Bringing Her Home" - you could substitute "Latin wife" and "wife" for "puppy" and it reads pretty good.  When your down there tell them to at least update their visa info page.  Have a good trip.

I have heard the puppy anology before and I must admit part of my thinking was along that line, influenced greatly by advice I was getting at the time.Pick a cute one, give her a good home and treat her well and she will love you to death. How niaeve.Women are much more complicated than puppies.
I love picking out a puppy. You don't get to do it too often because they usually live 12-15 years. But what fun.My golden retriever to me is the worlds best dog, loves me to death, and I him.
About a year ago I had a chance to buy a 2 year old regestered golden female.I never even went to look at her because I knew if I did I would bring her home.My step son and I wanted to get a female also and have litters of puppies. My wife said,no its too much work and I will have to do it all.I tried to explain the economices,6-12 puppies at $500-$800 each to offset any work but I think she never got that or she might have gone for it.Also my vet,my ex vet, talked me out of it.She wanted $400 each for male and female parent to be X rayed and certified for hips. She said you shouldn't do it for fun or profit.? ? ? My new vet charges $200 and said but then you can get more for the puppies with the hip cert.Thats my type of thinking.
I think a pile of puppies is just about, not quite, the most fun thing going.
