I almost got through your 1st paragaph then looked at my sidebar - if you've got something to say - say it!  Don't let CaliPro get under your skin.

I was thinking just the opposite, that they have been taking short pokes at each other without either really explaining their viewpoint in a constructive manner and that this post was very instructive on DOMINGUIN's viewpoint.

I'm with Bruce on this one. I think we'd all benefit if we tone down the rhetoric and discuss differences in points of view in a more cordial manner. Many of us have strong opinions but it does none of us any good if we resort to the kind of things that have occurred here recently. These are often complex issues that can't be addressed in sound bites and require a more detailed approach. I realize of course that attention spans vary, but you don't have to read it all in one sitting. And the more long-winded of us might try breaking things apart into several posts. Also, I am sure that there are lurkers who would benefit greatly, both from a good-humored banter between two on opposite sides of the fence and from no longer having to fear being shot down in flames if they post a question or a trip report.
